[LIVE] Shiny Horsea after 5,698 fishing encounters in FireRed + Evolutions

The second phase for Shiny Shellder ends with a Shiny Horsea. I was hoping for one of these as I don’t have one yet & it's a really nice shiny! Kingdra is a very nostalgic Pokemon as I grew up playing Gen 2. I mentioned in the video that I’d love to get one in Gen 2 someday and I fully intend to.
I’m already close to odds for Shellder on phase 3 so here’s hoping this hunt will end soon.

I adore shiny Horsea and especially shiny Seadra. It's blue is so amazing! And I am kinda disappointed about shiny Kingdra, because it is a Pokémon I have a lot of nostalgia for and one that I think is totally awesome. But water Pokémon turning purple as shinies is so overdone in the first 3 Gens imo... Anyways, congrats and here is to you finding the shiny Shellder on stream, preferably when I can catch your stream as well!

Congrats! I always loved that nice turquoise gen 3 sprite. Random fun fact apropos of nothing: you got this shiny 20 encounters after the halfway point of 8192 odds, or the "coin flip" point, i.e. the point at which there's a 50/50 chance you go over/under that amount. The math just so happens to work out that that exact number is 5678, for 1/8192 odds.

I found my very very first shiny throughout my all gameplay, I'm not a shiny hunter it just pure luck I guess. Near the altering cave but it just a qwilfish but still I'm still happy and gives me motivation to catch other shiny. Thanks for this information where to find other shiny

Hi there, I really like your videos. By the way, have you considered transfering your Shiny Pokémon (like Horsea) to Pokémon Emerald, then cloning them and then evolving the clones? That way you get more Shinies😁

That is locked. In-game trades are the same Pokemon over and over so there is no shiny roll. Same as the originals.

It's anything but your target. I found Gyarados phase 1, Horsea for phase 2 and then Shellder was found on phase 3 (haven't uploaded yet).

I honestly don't know how you do it man. I have been hunting for a shiny johto and sinnoh starter for well over 15k now for weeks, this particular platinum has never given me a shine in its many playthroughs and hunts, and in my entire pokemon career I have only ever had 2 full odd shinies. It seems like hunters on youtube get them left and right some 2k or 12k hunts, but I iterally have to drought well into 100k some odd just to get anything. what makes you keep looking?

Shiny hunting is guaranteed, it's just a case of keep going. I've had some pretty nasty hunts this year like 31k for Lotad in Sapphire. Look at my Wailord that took 16k and I started it back in January. It's an up and down game but you just have to keep going until you get it. Make it the background task, watch streams, shows etc while you hunt. Time will fly if you do that. Most of my hunting comes in the evening time these days after everything has been done around the house, work etc. Try not to focus on others because it's all RNG at the end of the day. My very next hunt could do to 50k+, who knows. Best of luck, don't be discouraged, you'll get it.
