Thoughts from a QLDER- NSW gave QLD the big brother treatment. Off the ball moments with Latrell on Walsh + Holmes, S Crichton to Deardon, A Crichton on Cotter, Martin on Sua etc. NSW dominated with aggression and power.

Maybe it's because we got flogged last night (full credit to NSW btw. Flawless game) but the focus on these reviews is heavily slanted towards NSW. Game one the reason why QLD only had 15min focus of an 90min podcast was because NSW got beat and therefor host of changes will need to be made. NSW flog QLD and yet again, NSW gets almost double the time in the podcast. I do value the insights, especially when you get ex players on but either switch who you chat about first or just assign 40mins each to both teams. It's kinda like 'shit, we've run out of time let's end the podcast'. my two cents.

Game analysis: NSW won the arm wrestle going set for set early. QLD had some poor misses and reads that toppled up on each other and so much pressure was applied that QLDs line was breaking everywhere. Moses was great at barking orders and game managing along some great ball playing and short kicking. Middles were great and layed an amazing platform. Backs executed well. 2nd half NSW discipline let them down abit and took their foot off the peddle. QLD took a few of their opportunities but eventually it was too far to mount a comeback. Great result for NSW
@countrytodd46146 ай бұрын
If the refs werent told to keep nsw on top, then how were 2 clear sin bins not payed? Trell swinging arm straight into coates head, and whichever back rower flipped Cotter and dropped him on his head, good to know for next game this stuff is all on the table

Edwards was great tonight. I saw him multiple times helping Mitch organise the forwards and decoys. It's going to be hard for QLD to win this decider, I hope we do but they propr bullied us tonight. We need a bit of mongrel out there! I would drop Sua for Fifita, maybe bench for Sua but need that X factor out there. Also wouldn't mind a firey red head out there to match Martin's energy, dunno if we have one though 😆. Suncorp will suit our boys style of play at least. Also drop Klein for the love of god.

@kirstienjoku62226 ай бұрын
@@joshloreto2676 you're not getting the point - he goes missing when he's not on the front foot. Happens in club land too. He's good in defence probably one of the best halves in defence but his attack is below standard! Locky was in origin games where they would be getting smashed in and he wouldn't go missing because his attack was top tier! Do you understand there are 2 sides to 5/8th? Dearden doesn't kick so it's left to Walsh and DCE and occasionally Hunt.

cleary got a man of the match in a nearly identical situation to mitch in 2022. game 2, in a neutral state, needing the win to stay alive. blues won game 2 in 2022 44-12 which is a bigger margin than tonight. and he scored two tries to mitch’s 0. saying he’s had “good” games at origin is underplaying it a bit i think
