Very thorough, objective review. I’ve never fished the Live Target Swimbaits, but I like that you didn’t dismiss them immediately when the action wasn’t aggressive. Many baits have their place under the right conditions. It’s just a matter of figuring out what those conditions are.

I caught my PB and huge bass on these baits. You must have the right rod setup to get the best action from these. It isn’t a thumping tail bait and you can add a spinner blade on the bottom that makes this bait go crazyyyyyyy

I was lucky enough to find the bronze gill color in the 3.5 inch and I know that may be a little small but I feel like its a good start to gain confidence in these baits

I love the perch swimbait they make on cloudy days and/or if I’m fishing dirtier water. Gotten some good fish with that lure, my only issue would be that these get shredded quickly by teeth and we have a ton of pickerel and snakehead here.

The hook on the gizzard shad is way too thick , I've had so many fish come off due to this . But with the stinger on I've been able to catch bass , catfish , crappie and gar. Great bait just wish they would change out that hook . I use a 7'2 MH fast taper or action depending on the rod

Instead of putting a hook on the bottom tie on, try putting a willow blade. It gives it more action and is even more effective.

The look great and they do catch fish but I believe you can have just as much luck with a cheap storm lure it will be a heart breaker when a toothy critter bites the tail off
