Which one do you recommend.... Paptizer or Ozone? I'm pretty new to using a CPAP and still learning things about it. I haven't heard about the Paptizer until this video. I do know about Ozone and have read some good and negative things about it. The CDC doesn't recommend using Ozone but I don't really trust the CDC after learning about their involvement with Covid. So I'm looking for honest, opinions about what's best to use for cleaning. Right now I'm just using the basic method of cleaning my gear with Dawn dish soap and water. But even Dawn dish soap isn't good because of the Dioxane in it but that's what my medical supply company said to use and baby wipes to clean my cushion nightly.They were also kind of against using Ozone but they didn't say not to use it. So I'm conflicted. I just want the best for my health.

Yes, if you select the "auto mode" then the Paptizer will dry the equipment too. Auto Mode: 3-minute quick disinfection followed by 60-minute drying cycle and sterile storage

Yes, the humidifier water chamber should be washed with soap and water weekly.

I saw that the hose, head gear, and face mask were placed in the unit. What about the humidifier-the reservoir that contains the water? Also, what about the hard plastic swivel hose/face mask connector?

Does this unit cleaning let you avoid wet washing the cpap equipment? Or do you still need to wet clean the tubing and mask (including silicone frame)? Could you use a sanitizing pad and the UV cleaning to keep the equipment clean?

@@neatstuff1123 You'll still need to wet wash the equipment (mask, tubing etc) before putting them inside the Paptizer to sanitize. The Paptizer kills germs but doesn't remove the oil from your face and dead skin cells etc. that inevitably gets on your mask.

According to the user manual, mask should be placed with the inside facing up, it’s the opposite of what was said in the video

The Liviliti Paptizer has mirrors on the top (under the lid) and bottom to reflect the UVC light, ensuring that the light hits all sides of whatever is put inside. That said, if you put your CPAP hose in the Paptizer, the UVC light won't be able to penetrate inside the hose.

The healthy hose won't be sanitized by the UV light but the healthy hose itself is made to inhibit 99.99% of bacterial growth.

There's no need to calibrate the sanitizer before first use and there's no need to wait before you can use your sanitized equipment. Unlike ozone cleaners, you can use your CPAP equipment right after the machine finishes sanitizing.

Yes, you can put your heated hose inside although the UV light can't penetrate inside the hose so it won't be able to sanitize the inside.

@@jerroldabber793 We recommend washing with mild soap and warm water and using a hose brush to scrub the inside. Hang the hose up to air dry. If you don't want to wait for the hose to dry, you can have 2 hoses and just rotate usage.

Yes, you are correct about devices containing batteries - especially lithium batteries, which are found in most mobile devices. Actually, lithium batteries can be very unstable when exposed to heat and certain levels of radiation, and the batteries may catch fire under certain conditions. °°

The UVC sanitization does not penetrate the hose! Lumin Bullet does. Direct light contact with an item's surface is crucial for UVC light to sanitize effectively. UVC light waves cannot reach the inside of CPAP tubing so don't be misled by your wishful thinking when seeing advertisements, which by the way, avoid making claims that the INSIDE of the hose gets sanitized. Some go as far as stating that the cleaning of the tube, as per manufacturer, is still required - this absolves them from any liability. It's true that the UVC light from the Paptizer cannot penetrate into the inside of CPAP tubing to sanitize. However, even with the Lumin Bullet, it's still important to clean the hose (and all CPAP supplies). Cleaning with soap and water removes most germs, visible dirt and organic matter. Sanitizing kills germs but doesn't remove organic matter (skin cells, face oils etc.). That's why we recommend cleaning before sanitizing. Some people who don't use their CPAP humidifier see no reason to clean their tubing since it doesn't get any moisture buildup inside. That's fair enough but for those who do use their humidifier, we recommend washing the hose once a week or even once every 2-3 weeks. Also, the Lumin Bullet has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

@@PAS_2020 UV sanitizers cannot hit the inside of the tubings. They are also not approved by the FDA (for whatever that's worth) for sanitizing CPAP accessories, so at best it's for masks (assuming you can flip it out), water chambers, but not the hose.

Hello Alan, None of the parts inside the machine actually come into contact with the parts that deliver air pressure to you directly, so there's no need to worry about cleaning the inside of your CPAP. Use some soapy warm water to rinse through your hose and and feel free to place it in the PAPtizer for it to dry it. Thank you for watching!
