Robert Bisard I think her faith makes her a great catch. I hope my sons meet someone like her. Her courage to do things out of the ordinary comes by by faith. There is a Bible verse that says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God”. She does live by faith and it encourages me. My wife and I are fellow 4 AM’ers as well.

This morning I got up at 3am..........4am is normal and 5am is late for me...........I am retired but been waking up early for 30 years now..................initial reason was because I used to be a night owl and heavy drinker and bar guy........I would start drinking and going to bars at 9pm and get home after 1am.............I stopped drinking cold turkey 30 yrs. ago and found that going to bed early prevented me from thinking about bars, women, and drinking .................thus if I went to bed at 8 or 9pm then I would naturally wake up earlier...............after years of this habit I now enjoy the peace and quiet of the pre-dawn hours...............I journal in my Diary, plan out my day, play with my dog, and just chill, and love to watch the sun rise

It's not because you're so special and disciplined in life and your Asian and you think you're better than everyone else. Its because you're a morning person. some people are morning people some people are night people. I doubt she really wakes up at 4 anyways. She tries to make herself look good for her family. you could wake up at noon and accomplish just as much as she does as long as you work as much as she does. So there's nothing special about waking up really early. Actually to me it seems pretty lame.

It's so funny I am the complete opposite, I am not able to do this because of my work schedule but my ideal day would be going to bed at 4am and waking up mid day. I've always loved being up super late, similarly to you, I've always enjoyed the quiet time where most people are sleeping, it's peaceful, quiet and dark. I love the night time so much, going to bed late has always been my favorite, even my 88 year old grandparents stay up until 2am! It's funny how we're all different with our preferences.

I've read before that the reason some people like to be up late is that our body temperature is higher later in the day, as opposed to earlier in the day. Some like to be up early and some late and I read it's based on our body temperature.

You are mature beyond your years. I have been waking up at 3:30 am for 46 years. Anyone can watch a sunset. Only the dedicated can see the sunrise. Watching the birthing of a new day is an experience I never tire of especially in Japan where on the east coast one can view the sun rising out of the ocean.

I am so glad that I watched this video. I am the SAME when it comes to my "body clock!" Anything after 3pm is tough for me to do because I am SO tired. Its like my body and mind just wind down to snooze mode. I work MUCH better between the hours of 7am-noon! I really thought there was something wrong with me... I struggle to stay awake after 5pm. I get a boost of energy around 8pm- and anything after 930-10pm, Ill be asleep.

I've been trying to bring some structure to my morning routine because I notice when I make time for myself before going out into the world and giving energy to other people or a job, I find it easier to stay grounded and aligned. Today was the first day I've gone through with it and I've gotten SO much done already before noon. It's so nice. Perfect timing with this video.

It's something, because I can relate to just about everything in your videos. I used to be a trucker, so living on the road was my norm back then. I had to discover my own versions of the same solutions you have have discovered for the ordinary mundane problems of life (showers, bathroom, eating, sleeping, etc...). Nowadays, I live in an apartment and I'm a freelance writer. So now, I can relate to all the time management issues, morning and evening routines, self-employment, etc... All the way down to waking at 4 a.m. (same as you) for pretty much the same reasons. The more of your videos I watch, the less insane I actually feel, seeing as how I don't really know anyone else who lives the way I do. So keep on rocking, Ahle! You're awesome! ;-)

Absolutely relate to this! If I allow my body to do what it naturally wants to do, I'll fall asleep around 7 or 8 at night and wake around 4 am. People who discover this about me, look at me like I'm crazy and I can tend to miss out on night time activities or social events at such times. Yet I love the quiet; the peaceful calm resonance the world emits at 4 am, is blissful. I have greater focus & energy to be so much more productive, too. It's a satisfying feeling to know I can fully be in presence, with the tasks at hand and gratifying to know they are done, then later I can devote my attention to other things and my loved ones.

Another great video Ahle. I wake up at “0 dark thirty” myself. Watching the sun rise is indeed one of life’s many pleasures. Early morning is when I get my prayer time in followed by my daily Bible reading. It’s the best time to spend with God because at very early in the morn’ there are no demands on my time. Phone is not ringing, messenger is not pinging, and email is not dinging🕺. It’s a wonderful time of day. Also, I agree with you, sometimes just lying still or being still “reflecting” is priceless time that I spend with myself. Love your videos Ahle, keep ‘em coming and safe travels 🙏Amen

I've never done 4 a.m., but I think it's great if your body's natural rhythms fit that pattern. I've been waking up at 6 a.m. most of my life cause it let's me get in an early workout, do my meditation, and then get into idea generation. My sleep pattern also just works with a 6 a.m. start. The mornings then turn out to be the absolute most productive time for ideation. I usually keep my phone off until 11 a.m., and that's another key to peace of mind and freedom of imagination. About 11, clients start calling and the day shifts gears. But I love my morning routine. So if you've really gotten into this, enjoy. I suspect you'll keep it up for many years ahead. As always, you look lovely. Your positive demeanor and the wonderfully relaxing sound of your voice always takes me to another place. I suspect stress levels must drop 10 fold when I'm relaxing with one of your videos. I could listen to you chat away for hours on end. Have you considered live broadcasts? John

I love this! I have been struggling so hard to get myself to start getting up earlier. Like you, I travel (in an RV) and work online freelancing. Self discipline with this kind of lifestyle and work schedule is paramount and like you said, around 3pm my brain goes out of work mode, no matter what time I start working or get up. So i've known for a while I want to start getting up earlier (my goal is 5) but I'm still hovering around the 7-8am mark. I feel like I need to do it in 1 hour increments to get used to it... but bed is so comfy! However, I'm gonna do it tomorrow! Thanks for the inspiration.

I wake up naturally 4 to 4: 30 every day and love it. Low concentration after 3:00 pm as well. If I sleep in once in awhile, still lower concentration after 3:00. Start out doing the fiddly things and bursting at full speed by 6:00 am. Same thing, all major work is done by noon. The only downside is coming at other folks full throttle at 8:00 am. They are kind of like hey, can you tone it down a bit. LOL

When I lived the hobo life on my bike; I quickly learned the value of not appearing as a bum or standing out in any way. Starting early gives you time to clean up. If you have to travel, you arouse less interest or suspicion in the morning. People assumed I was just an affluent yuppie out for exercise. If you travel at night after dark, cops may be more inclined to give you a second look and make a mental note. The strategy for me was to always be invisible. Clean shaven, fresh haircut, nice active wear outfit, and a nice bike without tons of packs and gear. No one ever thought I was what is called homeless. That strategy always included being up bright and early every day. Being a bum taught me the value of discipline, and making a good appearance.

That's so awesome that you've discovered your natural sleep cycle! Yes! You are totally a Lion (or maybe a Dolphin). Everybody has their own chronotype which is inherited, so we all need to discover which is natural for each of us. It's a genetic predisposition where the clock genes that exist in all of our cells are set and that allows a person to function best at a certain circadian rhythm. They have discovered that there are 4 chronotypes. Two of them are best functioning in the morning, one of them is a middle day and one is a night-owl. The night-owl chronotype, you guessed it, is the most rare by far. We are all naturally drawn to the chronotype that is most natural for us so don't try to be like other people. Trust your own feeling of what is right for you. And still remember that blue light (from electronics) will screw up your natural circadian rhythm and tell your brain to wake up. The best way to tell is to spend a while in nature, like go camping for a week so your body gets back into the natural cycle with the day/night cycle and see when you are most active, creative and productive and then be sure you get the best sleep cycle that works with that.

You are a very resourceful, intelligent and motivated young lady, but remember you are still young and just as you said, trying to do life . All young people are doing that in their own ways just not doing a crash course on growing up and growing better like you. You are doing GREAT 👍

I'm always up at 4 am. Not waking up but still up from the night before (I'm actually typing this at 3:30 am) but I do have to agree about liking the quiet of no one else being up and sun rises are way better than sunsets.

I know I know you. We used to work at Entourage and you said you were saving to buy a beautiful van and would live in it and travel wherever you wanted and I believed you and thought you were incredible. Also you choose to wake up at 4am so you truly are incredible. If I knew a different Ahle let me know, but man you are awesome.

Very cool lady!! You seem to be un- encumbered with the b.s. that society puts on women, and I think that’s terrific! Your freedom, both literally and figuratively are aspirational to me, and I’m sure a lot of people out there. I’ve just retired and am trying to figure this new life out. Your videos help me aim to the place where I want to go in my heart. Your a ‘real’ woman and that’s so nice to see these days. The people that truly know you must be sublimely blessed. Keep the dark hair, lol. All the Best, Kenny

Same. I'm way more productive in the am. I do 4:30 am. It's not always easy to do, but i do get alot done. Im almost manic level productive and creative. Its almost impossible for me to get up at 6 because my body has decided to sleep in by that point and I'll be getting up at 8 as a result. Been doing this for almost 10 years.

It does add more hours of daylight to your day getting up that early. The math actually supports that especially if previously you were getting up after the sun was rising. Ultimately you are living a farmers schedule. Many of them wake up around 4 and are off working by 5. I recently started getting into the habit of going to bed around 9 (maybe watch some tv or read) with the goal of going to sleep around 10 so I could get up around 5am to exercise before showering and going to work. It really changes the day being up that early and exercising in the morning. I'm going to continue to try and do this and may even go back another hour when the time change hits that first weekend in November. 4am isn't that crazy of a time to be up as long as you are getting to bed early enough to get a full night of sleep.

I don’t think it matters on the time you wake up, it usually means you have to go to bed early and fall asleep, for me no matter how much I try waking up early never feels right and I will always gravitate to staying up later and later every night. I don't think I have fallen asleep before 11:00 pm unless I am sick.

Yes, I wake up at 4;30 and go to starbucks , waffle house or Mcdonalds depends where I am working. You are right, seeing the sun rise every day. I have been doing this for 12 years, but as you get older it gets easy. only issue is that I take naps at 12 to 1 which if I don't get it, I get drozy..
