please make a video on the complete cost including entertainment like going out and restaurants with friends and also how about life/health insurances, visiting and exploring other parts of UK or going abroad for vacations.

Thanks for being so transparent. I’m a London native but I’ve been in a different city for the last 4 years for uni. Now I’m back and I start work in September 2025, so I’m planning to move to Zone 2 East in August and I’m trying to prepare for full time adulting. This has been super helpful! I’m just worried that the rents are only going to keep rising. It’s so hard to find a good place for less than £1000 these days without having to house share. This is awful of me but I sometimes find myself secretly wishing for another housing crash so that the prices can come down again😂

One thing I would recommend is alternatives to Spotify. Apple Music is a cheaper alternative, and if you have a Prime subscription then prime music is included in that. The latter is an annual fee of around £80, so works out cheaper than a monthly Spotify bill. Not too sure how this would work for your multiple device functionality

THIS is a VERY good tip and comparison of different services! Yes i am somewhat tied in needing multiple devices plus all the playlists I've set up for work but very useful!

@@kenbirkpresents your entire monthly expenditure is less than my rent. London is crazy. Not sure its worth living here to be honest.

Hi very interesting. To be fair I thought your grocery bill would be a lot higher. You care about what you eat which is fantastic so I thought your higher protein diet would raise the bill (meat, eggs, yogurts, nuts, seeds - all the good stuff!). This presumably includes all your cosmetics and cleaning products. I think you are living a very controlled life for a person of your age and stage of life....keep it up. I guess you get hammered when you dive into your social life, namely movies, pubs, nights out etc. to say nothing of eating out!! WOW, now that's expensive. Keep up the good budgeting... I am an immigrant who arrived in the country 23 years ago with absolutely nothing!! I now have a 3 bed house nearly paid off and an investment property. Cut your coat according to your cloth! Don't spend more than you earn and remember - it's not what you earn, it's what you DO with what you earn!

This depends-I know that whilst you could have a couple (the parents/guardians) in one room, normally you could have two children in one room providing they are the same sex up to adult age (though whilst every family situation and economic circumstance is different-I wouldn't advise this long term). If they are young children they could share up to (i.e before they reach) secondary/high school age (there are official age guidelines for council housing before it is deemed overcrowding as per my understanding so this is a good framework). Having said that, it will be more of a challenge to find an affordable unit and landlord willing to rent in such a circumstance a 2 bed, especially compared to say two friends. Hope this helps!
