I have a ton of student loans that I will be paying well into my 40s and I agree with you at heart but I disagree with you on logic. While I want to feel that freedom and I have an urge and an instinct to pay them off and nothing in the world will feel as good as being rid of them it is much smarter if you have low APR loans (mine are all below 3.8%) to pay the minimum and invest your extra money. $1K invested will grow faster and net you more than the $38 you'll save that year on it by paying down earlier. This doesn't apply to everyone but it does to most borrowers. It's just a long-term math problem and the math comes out on the side of investing. Always.
@steveyrock14 жыл бұрын
@@martinzaharinov4016 There is an emotional component to debt and I would never tell someone to not pay it down over investing. Just like you said, it is financially better to invest if the interest rate is low. I would rather invest and once I have enough, the interest on the investment can pay the student loan bill. yep its hard now with the Covid stuff going on, alot of nurses are laid off and or hours are shortened, no overtime as of the moment

Did anyone else watch with cc on? It's literally the text of someone else talking about her. Like on 2:45 its says "Your stragety for student loans cannot be to hope that theu just get wiped out".

The stupidity of this girl renders me speechless. You make 145K a year...live beneath your means and those student loans should be paid off in no time! I hate people.

With her expenses being that low, I would like to know where the rest of that money goes? Her monthly spending is literally less than half of her income.
@suyashvijay55424 жыл бұрын
I feel that she is underestimating how much she splurges. Otherwise she isnt putting much towards retirement or any other investments and is only paying the minimum on student loans

bases on the video her expenses does not make sense. More than likely she spend way way more than what is listed on lifestyle.

She just put $20k down on a house and almost $2500 in savings every month! I would think the money is going into her savings

A good practice is to try and skip every other paycheck ... If you can't make it on half of what you earn, you need to find a new career... or reduce expenses. Cable TV ? who needs it ? cancelled. XM radio ? cancelled. Sweaters for dogs ? Get a goodwill sweater, cut and reshape it for your dog.

Not at the expense of cashflow. She's only saving $3000 a month. I'd want at least 2 years worth of expenses in the bank in case I got made redundant.
