I’ve had my XT-11 for years, and it has taken severe abuse and still works. Tried other brands, and still don’t have the confidence Klarus has ALWAYS delivered. Used this light reviewed, highly recommend.

Got mine a week ago. loved it so much. It lit up the campground at night like a day light and campers asked me what kind of flash is it. I told the "Kalrus xT11x. Wow..so bright and awesome. I own both XT11GT and XT11X as my back up light. Also Acebeam L30..so freakin bright !!

Hey you I need your help. Should I get Acebeam l30 or the Klarus xt11 x? What are your thoughts and specific comparisons? In use is the L30 800 lumens brighter or may that be exaduration?

I've had a Klarus G20 for I guess about 2 years now. It has very close to the same Turbo setting as the one you're reviewing here, but I hardly ever need it. Can't recall the exact step-downs from there, but I do think High is a bit brighter than 400 lumens. The only thing I don't particularly like about it is that the beam is very floody, with a spot being almost indiscernible at all. It's a double-edged sword, as the flood illuminates a very wide area, but if I want to pinpoint what's making noise in the woods that my dog is getting ready to chase after, there's no pinpointing to be had with the G20. This light looks like it might fit all my bills. Would prefer a 26650 battery (which the G20 does have), just because I live pretty far out in the country and have needed (and appreciated) having 90 minutes or so of very bright light at my disposal. Plus, using it the way I do the vast majority of the time, it holds a charge for more than a month, sometimes more, using it for 10 or 15 minutes every single night of the week to walk the dog before hittin' the rack. Anyway, good review and decent beam shots. This light definitely has more spot than the G20. Today is Cyber Monday, but I've already spent a ton of dollars on Winter clothes this week, so I may have to miss the best deals out there. Oh well, your review still sold me. Thanks.

I have owned Klarus torches for many years and I just received the new XT11X. I really have no complaints at all. It is a very well made light The only thing I would like is an anti-roll ring for the new XT11X, but that is a very small criticism

My favorite flashlight is the thrunite TC15. To me, it is flawless. Nearly. I would love to have a USB type C connector on it.

Thanks for your review Living Survival. Klarus, one of the top flashlight producers. I own a XT11GT, (among some other flashlights) 2000 Ansi Lumen. Fantastic flashlight. As far as I can see the XT11X is quite the same type of light. It has maybe a bigger spot. But it seems, watching your fine vid, that the XT11GT has even some more beam distance. Well to be true when it is not completely dark the distance is more like 200-250m. Which is more than enough in most situations. And you are right, I use the 10 and 100 lumen most of the time. Sometimes the 400lm and almost never the 2000 lm. Only to show off or so. My question: How do you see the XT11X in relation to the XT11GT?

Eric Rozanski well both flashlights are fine. And they are very alike too. For me personally the XT11GT is perfect. But... if I had the XT11X I would probably say the same.

I have the fantastic XT11GT 2000 lumens. A little trick to make it a little brighter AND throw over 100 meters more is to get the Klarus 3400 mah battery. It makes the best flashlight even better.

Look at the Nitecore MT10A. That 14500 light sets the standard for 14500 lights. These Klarus rocker style tailswitches have been an issue for many who have dropped their lights onto hard surfaces like concrete. Including total failures! My MT10A's put out 920 lumens @ 7300cd. There is no other light even close to its versatility that i have ever seen, used or owned. And I say that with over 45 years of experience with all manner of flashlights, too. I have dropped my Nitecores numerous times on even concrete. They just shrug it off. Really like the Klarus design, however -- will wait until they have thoroughly worked out the bugs in the design of their tailswitches. Meanwhile, there is always -- and I mean _always_ -- an MT10A within about ten steps or less of me, day & night -- when not inside my pocket. And that has been for some years now, too.

Yes. The domed xhp70.2 sacrificed surface intensity for higher lumens. For that size reflector getting 300 M out of the xhp70.2 is impossible. If you dedomed it there would likely by a donut hole effect problem and not have full throw or a weird ugly beam pattern . Changing the angle of the reflector wouldn't achieve much better either. But, intrinsically, the flood matched the performance of the LED as additional throw might be hard to see from the brightness of the spill.

Does anyone know what the color temperature of the light from the XT11X is (CRI)? I have an XT11S and love it for its functionality, but the color temperature of the light is leaning toward a cool white. I prefer a neutral or warmer white because this renders color better. I noticed that the LED in the light had a yellow coloration to it, which is often associated with a warmer/neutral light output. Is the light output 4500 degrees Kelvin, 5000 degrees Kelvin, etc.?

Actually the original first generation lights finish and durability is better and the construction is better . But with that even said they only lasted about 5 years and they both died. The original xt11 my original first generation x t 30 . They're both died about a year ago I hope the GT Electronics hold up better. Because I really love these lights
