It was too funny when I saw Michelle run the red light and your reaction right after. Crazy you commented Michelle twitching her leg like Elvis and the wood on the bar was connected! Le Meridien was stunning. TFS The Edition as well. One of the many endearing things about you both is how real you are, and you do look for silver linings. Hope the repairs don't set you back too much on $ or time. HNY! #seeyanextweek

Nice trip through my old stomping grounds! It breaks my heart to see Gulf Shores these days! We bought our lot there in 63 and had to have power run down the road to it! No water, sewer, phone service etc. then. When we built the house (we were on West Beach) you couldn't see another house in either direction. Wall to wall now! There was only one stop light in town, no condos, bars, etc. just two restaurants and one gas station. Such a nice, sleepy little fishing/shrimping village. Post Hurricane Frederic is when the really big commercial boom hit town. You surely noticed a MUCH less commercial environment on Dauphin Island, and that's exactly the way they want it!

Loved the video! We were at Gulf State Lodge in late December. First trip there and we loved it! Planned to ride bikes around the state park but it was cold and windy while we were there. We hope to go back in the Spring. Next time you guys are in the area, be sure to check out Magnolia Springs near Foley. It's a cute little town with a wonderful restaurant (Jesse's). Btw, us southerners pronounce it MO'bill but I am sure I have certainly butchered the names of some non-Southern (and some Southern!) town names myself. We didn't have time to check out Mobile but maybe the next time around. Keep up the good work!
@LivinRVision2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip on the restaurant! Yeah, the funny thing is, we both know how it is pronounced but still said it that way. 😂 When editing, I told Michelle, boy are we going to hear it! 😂 Sometimes I just say, meh…and leave it in because it’s not worth the troubles of putting text to correct it or putting on the same clothes that we had on that day and re-record. We figured people get the gist and just continue to watch.

Well done video guys! Loved your music choices! We love going to Lambert's - those rolls are delicious and huge! It always cracks me up when they throw the rolls across the room. We also loved our stay at Gulf Shores, AL in October. We waited for Ian to blow out of Florida and stayed there for a couple of weeks. Safe travels you guys and hope you made it through those few days of artic blast and stayed warm enough. HaPpY NeW YeAr and hugs from Laura and Scott. xo

I love your videos!! We live in Orange Beach, AL and it is truly paradise. If we ever thought we could leave the beauty of this place, we may try van life, too. Great video about Ft Gaines. We have never been to Lamberts, bc we are gf and the risk of cross contamination is too great. You need to come back and do the Florabama at night, on a Friday or Saturday night where local musician and comedian Big Earl does his show. It is hilarious and the people watching is incomparable. Lastly, Mobile is pronounced Mo-beel, not mobile as in mobile phone. 🤪 Also, when you come back, we can give a list of great gf restaurants that are safe to eat. And Michelle needs to try the pie at Hope's Cheesecake and Sarah's Homemade in Gulf Shores. Safe travels!!

We have camped at Dauphin Island several times and it is one of my favorite places. The campground is within walking distance of Ft. Gaines, the beach and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Aquarium. You can reach anything on the island with bicycles. The ferry runs across the mouth of the Bay to the Ft. Morgan side, another great place to tour, Metal detecting is not allowed on Dauphin island due to the fact it was a Civil War battlefield. The Sea Lab offers a wonderful week-long program for kids in elementary school as well as hosting masters and PhD students studying oceanography and estuary marine environments. A family-friendly, low key place to relax and enjoy life on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Dear Brian & Michelle, for this tour, the history lesson, answered a lot of questions about how,when & where, way back when , these places became settled. Growing up here in the 60’s we only got to see the American movies,which depicted the Indian,wars between the North & South, of course all The John Wayne movies, but these left a lot to the imagination. Since following you on U-Tube I have had a Atlas out so I can place all the places I go to, which explains your country better,so thank you & Happy New Year. It is the 1st of January 2023 today as I write this letter. Elaine from Queensland, Australia.
