I wish they could reconstruct Vincent Minnelli's version of this film and release it as it was intended by him.

@Adler36 It was but the studio re-edited the version that is seen from his intended cut. He disowned this film following their destruction. The full version of the film has never been seen to this day.

@PatriciaSmear I'm sorry, but I don't understand, I thought the movie was directed by Vincent Minelli?! How was it intended by him??? I thought the movie was a hommage on the great Marchesa Luisa Casati. :-)

No. Just...no. The acting. The cheesy music. The dialogue sounds like the old Hercules movies dubbing. Blame it on editing if you must but it's just a stinko movie. I say this as a Liza Minnelli fan.
