I love how the Lizard league can seamlessly go from goofy nobodies to legitimately horrifying threats depending on who’s fighting them. I think it speaks to the fact that while they might be goofy or a little weak compared to most of the main cast they are genuinely pure evil and pull no punches when they actually have an advantage.

Especially since king lizard is a cunning genius. His plans typically have one error which makes it fall apart. Like rex surving being shot in the head or his lizard virus somehow not working but working just enough to let them deactivate the bombs.

Same problem with a lot of these guys. Their strength is all they got going for them. He didn't have the smarts to be a true threat globally. Plus since he had been with the group for awhile he probably legit believed in their cause. Like nothing implies he was only hired muscle, he was a reasonably high ranking member.

honestly, same could be said for guardians like Rex and Kate tbh. They were boxing with him briefly, which isn't insane, but the fact Kate fights horribly (never staying back so she has unlimited clones) and Rex was actively out of it, like he was not thinking straight at all is wild. You can see why they got bumped up to Guardians of the Globe, they had potential.

They are a literal joke. The weaker members of the Guardians of the Globe actually defeated them even at a disadvantage and King Lizard and Komodo were killed by a dying Rex Splode.

We dont know, see in the comics, Dupli-Kate survived because she his a clone of her in an isolated place, so no matter what she could always survive, but this was only revealed at a later time

It was simply bad strategy in the fight with Rex, Kate, and ShrinkRay. Kate was never going to be able to out punch Komodo Dragon, Rex has the best shot at taking him down, Kate can go after the others

I don't think the plan was for Kate to actually beat Komodo, just keep him bogged down until Rex and Rae took out the others. Komodo goes toe to toe with Immortal and lives, you don't solo something like that. But they took too long dealing with the other minions so Kate eventually got tired and then got squashed.
