LMS Ivatt 46441 Brightens up a Dull Day on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Line.

I headed over to the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway to capture LMS Ivatt 46441 in action on the last day of the 2024 Season. 46441 is seen at various points along the line .A dull day with little chance of any sun saw the Ivatt making some wonderful sounds.

Great stuff Steve, the Ivatt sounds lovely. Bit of sunshine would have really brought out the autumn colours more but we seem to be getting one grey day after another lately

Thanks Austin, totally agree about a bit of sun and it seemed to get darker as the day went on and I was only there from 11am till 1pm 😟

Considering the conditions I think you've managed to get some nice shots there Steve. I particularly like the shot with the canoeists in the foreground, a location that's been on my hit list for a while. Many thanks for sharing.

Cheers Ian , it started to drizzle just before I came away so that told me it was time to head back. The paddle board folk sort of disturbed the dead calm water mirror image but it adds to the view 👍

She sound's great. Late wendermere ( I'm sure I spelt it wrong) was where water speed record was first held in the 1920/30s. I only recently found out and I went to this railway back in September 85.
