I’m elderly and my house is too much work and expense for me. Im told I need to downsize or move into a retire community. But that sounds very lonely and final. A huge dome greenhouse surrounded by 6 dome houses, would bring my family together, I wouldn’t be lonely and I could leave my grandchildren a legacy vs a house to sell. I need to sell my house to do this. I’ll have cash. Can this be done? Where do I begin?

I’m not in the community of the Domegaia “movement”. If I were you, just contact the maker of this video. He can point you in the direction. Organizing a training project at your property. Finding volunteers to help you with your dream project. It shouldn’t be difficult to realize it. Sorry. I live in Panama. Building my own house - all by myself. Two story circular house. Locals call it already the “Castillo” and I haven’t my roof on top yet. I couldn’t get a permit with aircrete. I’m using 6” concrete blocks for my construction. All the best for your project! ❤

@ Thanks. I’ve been interested in concrete domes for years, and aerated concrete when I discovered it several years ago. I’ve also seen autoclaved aerated concrete, which is very interesting but more expensive because it is made in a factory and cured in a steam pressure vessel (basically a steam sterilizer). Have you built any aerated concrete homes on the east coast (Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland) area? I want to see one in person. The shower area was all waterproofed before it was tiled. That was the pink stuff being painted on. The mini-split AC unit keeps it nice and cold. The aircrete is insulating, and the walls have thermal mass. It was in the high 90s while we were building, and once it was closed in and we turned on the mini-split, it easily cooled it and kept a nice even temperature. One morning, we turned off the AC, and it didn't need to be turned back on until 4pm in the afternoon despite being in full sun and 95 degrees outside.
