True But on the other hand Moving out of the country or moving to another culture and another language. Kinda forces you to learn the second language a lot better than most native speaker of it. Because you have to go out of your way to converse in that language, something you havent done most of your life. So its a hard learning curve. Also pewdiepie had been doing commentary for a long time. A very long time on youtube This sort of ferdback loop is very helpful. @user-ok4pk2mp3e6 жыл бұрын
ale Solis It was just a bit insensitive. No big deal really. My point wasn't that he needed to apologize, but rather that the way he DID apologize was very genuine, not something you see a lot. He said in the video what he did "wrong" and why it was "wrong". That's what made the it genuine.

I am not meaning his videos in this style. I am meaning his talk about his apology and whatnot. Dude actually took the time to go research to see why people were so upset. Not many people will try to expand their knowledge. They will just ignore it, argue, or call others stupid. When someone takes the time to educate themselves on something that they might not have understood, that is huge. I personally didn't care about the tweet. But it is cool to see his response. Glad it came into my recommended. Maybe he has been like this. Never watched him too much. Too many deep fried memes. :P

my brother was very popular but everyone abandoned him when he became an addict, which furthers my point. Of course he would never get the support a famous person could lol. Not preaching one way or the other, just an observation I think worth thinking about.

As an addict from a family of addicts I can say that it's still 100% on Demi. To believe otherwise is an instant failure. Yes, dealing with addiction is hard. Yes, it's a struggle that many people lose. But in the end it only matters if she is strong enough to stop. Otherwise she'll succumb to the addiction and possibly die. It's always going to be up to her and no one else for the rest of her life.
@maglizz16 жыл бұрын
Death Wish this is true but the thing is people (and pewdiepie) are calling her "dumb" for getting back on it. It's not about being dumb, it's about struggling. Yes she made a bad decision but thats what addiction does to you- she had a moment of weakness. Sorry for the rant it just bothers me that people don't seem to have any empathy for others passing through hard times.

Marina Ferrer Yep, it’s hard, people need to understand this as well as not victimizing the people who are going through this, it makes them feel equally helpless, pewds explained it pretty well tbh, that’s why he was in the wrong, beating on a person who is at the lowest point in their lives is only going to have a negative effect on the person, that’s empathy, still the fact that he is a bad role model while Demi is treated like royalty is pretty hypocritical of the media, and that’s why people get angry that Felix gets all the shit for a JOKE no matter how good or bad the joke it’s still a joke. Kinda ranted here sorry

One of the good things that came out of this mistake is that the masses (us) get another redpill from Felix. Time and time again, Felix keeps proving to me that he is a good role model. Yes he may make mistakes (no question there lol), but the way how he professionally reforms and corrects himself is really inspiring. This time he went the extra mile and researched on the issue, and points out that the media aren't trying to solve the problem, and would rather get a quick buck and would milk from this controversy. Wow Felix, great moves, keep it up! Proud of you!

They treat Demi about her addiction like a queen but what about the other lesser famous people that OD and didnt survive? What bias bs the media has for clicks
@bjrnerikkvitvik75246 жыл бұрын
Aeon Strife you said it, because the "every day" people aren't famous as Demi! Media always thinks about views and money! Not the health of "normal" addicts! Sad world we live in...

Nah I don’t agree the media reports every type of addiction the same way. It depends on your following demi had fans Disney. If was any nick or Disney star it would be just as a big deal. Which has been in other cases. It really depends on the fans you have.

Demi is a walking hypocrite like all famous people are. Stop sticking up for her sorry ass. She knew what she was getting into but refused to see the truth. Now she want's attention and pity from everyone. No excuse to turn to drugs or alcohol. She is not the only person who has went through life with negativity all around and wont be the last. I've been through more hell in life then her or most people yet never abused drugs/alcohol and so forth. Stop making excuses for these idiot's like Demi they don't deserve it. Wake up Miss gall-able. People need reality and clear thinking today not all this fantasy BS.

I wish your comment could be top comment because this is really true. She is a grown woman that need to take responsibilities for her own actions like any other person. You can baby a person and shelter them thinking its going to do them good. Get a kick from reality and learn from it in a educational and safe manner.

I think Felix is the realest KZbinr out there, he acts and behaves and reacts and changes his opinion when educated, and tries to do good but feels like he's failing anyway, clearly has imposter syndrome (like many of us) but keeps pushing through and trying to entertain and connect to his audience. I feel like he is genuinely just himself as much as you can be in front of a camera. Yes, he makes mistakes because WE ALL DO. He just chooses not to censor himself and pretend he's a God like other KZbinrs/celebrities. There are literally people in the spotlight who have zero 'mistakes' because they hide them, day in, day out. They aren't genuine with their audience, they hide themselves, either in the pursuit of total privacy (which is fine) or in the pursuit of perfection (which is disingenuous because NO ONE is perfect.) Felix doesn't pursue total privacy, he shares his life with his audience, and he doesn't pursue perfection because he is REAL. Consider that there is a literal, real human being on the other side of this video. Like you, or your best friend, or your mother, or your cousin, or the guy that makes you a coffee at that coffee shop. They all have the same battles, the same mistakes. The only difference is that y'all have no opportunity to share it with millions. Felix is courageous for making those mistakes, realizing it, trying to make amends, and sharing them anyway. I have incredible respect for him doing something that many of us would never ever do. Keep doing you Felix, the fact that you are concerned with being 'the bad person' means that you are good. 'Bad' people never even concern themselves with thoughts like that.

As a former addict, well I always will be one, I am just not using drugs any longer. I have to say that it was being shamed by friends that got me to sort myself out. It is different for everyone. Should have you posted the meme...? YES! There is no correct method or path to help someone, it can take many things and the sad truth is it may never happen. You may never get better, so just don't do drugs, kids. It ruins EVERYTHING. Trust me. I had to lose everything I ever had, including friends and family. You will ALWAYS be judged as an addict, even when you have been clean for 8 years. Not only do you hurt yourselves, you hurt the ones you love and even when you get clean, it NEVER goes away. Not if you are a long term user. I don't suppose any people will see this but if you do, let me be clear, PewDie Pie said nothing wrong by posting a Meme, for all we know it could be the ONE thing that leads her to sort herself out. This is no defence of Pewds, it is an explanation for why I think the Meme was justified.

she is an idiot, there should be no sympathy for her at all. she was clean for years and now she went back, no. shame and embarrassment is the best method, it makes you reevaluate yourself, it shocks you out of that funk.

I'll give you credit mate, you looked at research, you read up on addiction, and you apoogised after realising what addicts really need to recover. As an ex addict I've been on both sides and when you have people hating on you for using a drug, it just isolates you and pushes you further down.

I agree, muncherdave. I know that I can't use anything that could become an addiction but I won't call myself an ex addict when I've worked VERY hard to get clean and change my life round. I understand it'll always effect me but I won't label myself an addict in my future, because of past behaviours. Anyone can change, if they WANT to.

When I first heard about you I thought you were just a popular guy in KZbin with no character, shallow. I started watching your videos and now I have to say that you are a genuinely good person. You talk to us with honesty, you treat us like we are no different and I really appreciate that. A lot of youtubers make me feel like to them I am just their audience and I have no mind of my own but that us not the case with you. I love how you have your opinion and you see through the hypocrisy of others . I love how your character is not influenced by the media's controversies and trends in a toxic way. Honestly I learn so much from you. I'm truly sorry about how the media treats you. But this is what happens with truly genuine people. If they can't change you they fight you. But I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I understand you. And I'm glad you do what you do
