Those three small screws are for the back of the rim. There's one under neath each paddle and one at the bottom. It keeps the rim from flexing on the hub.

Not sure if most would notice the difference with the two small screws not installed. The wheel is as solid as a rock. The Fanatec McClaren wheel twists like a pretzel by comparison

Great video but playing on a PS% and having the XBox logo on the wheel will just mess with my head. You mentioned stickers, is there one to replace the XBox logo with the PS logo, or are we into licensing issues with Sony?

I made a small circle out of craft foam and stuck it on over the white "X' button. Now it blends in perfect and the button kinda feels like suede.

At 12:00 he states an important point - update your firmware on a Mac or PC first! If you don’t and you already have the ddgpro base and try to attach a new hub neither the Xbox nor PS5 will recognize it. Once you do all’s good.

The original QR just slots on but the new one you have to pull the sleeve back for it ito go on [apparently]I love the original rim and I've never got on with that shape rim before so I'll stick but it looks cool .

When you say firmware updates for it how would this work for anyone that would not have a PC at all could they still use the wheel if they did not have a PC or a laptop at all or someone that would only have Mac would it? Support Mac software? For them to update it from the Mac.

I'm not sure about Mac, but from my experience here it needs to be updated before usable on PS5!

Hello and great video, I have just bought the RS shifter, and it isn't working on my G bro wheel , ps5 gt7, do I have to update my wheel to get the shifter working ? I tried to use G Hub but wheel not recognised, help as logitech customer service haven't got back to me and its been 1 week, don't really want to send the shifter back, thanks

Yes, you need to update the firmware. You need to change the compatibility mode to PC in order for GHub to recognize the wheel. Make sure you change it back to PS5 afterwards.

PS5 chip is in the base. So you need a PS5/PC base and Xbox hub to work with both consoles and PC.

@CamelCanada do 3 to 4 races without the vr headset, and you'll get used to the button layout. The only trouble I had was the right rotary switch, but you get used to it.

There is symmetry on the hub, you'll get used to it quickly. I also only drive in VR.

I wonder if any of those people who could not assemble this wheel rim to the hub (9 bolts) own a racing cockpit? Way more work to assemble a cockpit or some Ikea furniture. BTW there is a instruction diagram in case you can't figure out where the extra 3 smaller bolts go. I think those fancy glasses are blocking your sight a little bit.

I like the MPI In Innovations GT wheel (GT 330 X LOGITECH RS), looks more like a real, I haven't tried yet but definitely looks cool! On another note, could you release a update video on the new settings for the logitech wheel and GT7, since the 1.49 update, I'm struggling to find a good balance between FF straight and smoothness, some cars the wheel gets extremely heavy and shakes a lot specially under braking.... before the update i was using your suggested settings from an old video and it was great...

Wow good timing. Looking at getting two hubs both wheels the wheelbase and pedals. As usual in Australia we're the last to get them. LOL. Wheels and hubs on the 17th but the wheelbase is currently unavailable with no date. Yes a little more basic than Fanatec wheels but a lot of those wheel features don't work on the consoles anyway.

I ordered mine from Logitech Australia the week after announcement and received them on October 2nd. It was only held up by the shifter by a day or so. It said late October for estimate but nope got them way early

@@sevenmarblesyep looks like Australia and NZ are the last. After the PS5 wheelbase also. Logitech are saying later in the year for the wheelbase. Pretty poor show for new setups. Edit. After considering it may pay to get what I can now. Then wait for the wheelbase. Otherwise the hub wheels and pedals may be hard to get if I leave it.

Thanks for the video man. My track wheel should be in next week. Not having up to date cars and all those fictional/concept cars it’s what kills GT for me. Graphics better than anyone though, including ACC. Honestly the only reason I made the switch to Forza in 2018…1973 Mazda RX3 timeless…I use to own one. Every racing game has their issue but I haven’t regretted my choice.

There is only Xbox and PC I think, they send you a pack of stickers to replace the Xbox buttons with PS buttons, it's not the cleanest solution but its better than nothing
