You can change the colors in the keyboard without using the software, just hold down the light button and there are different presents on the number row, some numbers don't do anything but pressing 0 will bring you to the static colors!

Yep. He would make a great salesman especially with the RGB section. I though the RGB was a little too dim but he actually gave a pretty fair point about the lighting being very subtle and low profile. Doesn't distract you too much.

I saw many reviews before I made my purchase of this keyboard, but I had not seen yours. When I got it I couldn't figure out how to change the colours in various zones, and sadly, there isn't really a decent manual to explain this. Then I came across your video, which is excellent, and told me everything I needed to know, including how to find the software to change the colours. For the record, I'm not a gamer, but I am a touch typist and all I wanted to do was get a keyboard that was backlit, but not bleeding with light. And I wanted static colour, but I also wanted to colour some of the zones. Again, your video told me all I wanted to know and then some. The "then some" is your enthusiasm for this particular keyboard. As you know, sometimes when you buy something there is the chance to have buyer's remorse. Well, thanks to you, that is not the case. I'm even more confident that I made the right decision and thankful for your video to help me figure out how to properly customize it to my needs. Kudos to you and thanks!

What attracted me to the g213 was that it lights up the signs on the keys rather than bleeding light all around the keys which I'd imagine in a dark room would always be in your peripheral vision. I didn't want RGB to look pretty, I wanted it for functionality, that is to instantly see the keys in a dark room. I use a keyboard tray so basically no light reaches my keyboard from the monitor. After I had it for just ten minutes I scored 77 WPM which basically is right up there with my previous keyboard I've been using since 2005 (Gateway KB-0532-US). I tested various other "gaming" keyboards which were mostly mechanical. To me this feels kind of the same except it has cushioning when you bottom out. Definitely doesn't have that mushy feel you get with a lot of membrane keyboards out there, you know for sure when you've pressed a key. You could almost say it feels like a hybrid, best of both worlds. The hand rest is something I am just used to since my old keyboard also had one, personally I prefer it. If you don't use a keyboard tray I could see why you'd maybe want to save some space on your desk though, but you'll adapt and the rest will probably grow on you. Nicely lines your wrists with the keys and probably helps prevent problems further down the road in life (like arthritis).

I thought the num lock light was a little too bright, so I cut a tiny square of electrical tape and put a hole in it with a sewing needle and placed it over the light, now it's a tiny pin prick of white light that's no bothersome. The caps lock, scroll lock, and gaming light don't matter to me since they are never going to be used, but the same could be done to them.

I was going to go mechanical, but then i tested this in a shop, and decided on the spot to get it. Very nice feel for a membrane.... particularly love the sturdiness of the spacebar and the matte soft feel of the keytops

Btw if you hold the rgb button then press number 1 2 3 4567890 they all have different colour effects and if you press the plus key while holding the rgb button it speeds up the lights

I got the keyboard for Christmas from my brother and you can change the lights which I don't think you actually covered. Press and hold the light button then press for example, F1. That changes the mode to a wave of rainbow. You are right about it being fantastic though.

Really struggling to find a keyboard that is as quiet as the Razer Deathstalker Chroma, mine finally has issue with the A key after working for so long and need to replace it. The PC is setup in the living room of the house so needs to be silent or as close to as possible and the clicking sound of mecha keys is annoying to me. Would you/anyone say this is quiet or can suggest other models of gaming keyboards that are as silent as possible. Price is not an issue as long as its quiet.

Just so people know. The Logitech Gaming Software has a known bug that is still not fixed. If you have more than the default profile setup then you will get double click issues in your Logitech mouse. So if you use this keyboard and also have a Logitech mouse, be aware of it. They won't fix it because it results in people thinking their 'cheap' Logitech mouse is worn out. And they can't afford another more expensive mouse, so they just buy another.

I use the Logitech G413 Carbon as my daily driver. Although it uses their proprietary _Romer-G_ mechanical switches and doesn't have RGB. It's still a decent, solidly built budget keyboard, currently around $50 on Amazon. Thanks for the review.

Hey dude! I wish u could see this comment, cause because I'm a little confused. I've been thinking about which keyboard to buy for about a week and a half now. The choice is between the logitech g213 cooler master ck530. I know that comparing mechanical and membrane keyboards is strange, but I just want to hear your opinion on these two keyboards and what you think is best for me to take! (both keyboards costs the same in my region). 50% of the time I work and 50% I play games. When I work, I really like to switch music with these media keys! But at the same time, a mechanical keyboard is better than a membrane keyboard (generally considered), but that's how I sacrifice the media keys by buying a cooler master instead of a logitech. What's your opinion! btw you are a very energetic person and I like to see a smile on your face! Good review!
