RIP the G600, I just got one and it's still the best MMO mouse ever produced.
@lordgasman90998 жыл бұрын
I own the G600 and it is honestly the best mouse I have ever used, and I've used a few. So comfortable and functional. I don't use the ring click for G Shift, but in FPS games I use it for melee, I use it for tab targeting in MMOs (WoW and GW2 mostly). So functional and having all these buttons at my fingertips is just fantastic.
@levi-ve7iz7 жыл бұрын
I just ordered it for GW2, it's great to hear you saying that...
@OnlyBlix10 жыл бұрын
I don't think they mentioned it, but it also has the G-Shift button (normally the ring finger click), which allows you map more stuff to the button. Example: G9 button can be set to pressing 1, and if you hold down G-shift you can make G9 do something else as well. So in reality this mouse has 39 button possibilities.
@amelliamendel22274 жыл бұрын
How do you change the g-shift button to do something else?

Amellia Mendel Late, but it’s the Logitech software. It allows remapping of all the buttons including the third mouse click
@machinejps11 жыл бұрын
The g-shift is worth mentioning too. Ring finger click works as shift button for any of the other buttons, doubling your vast arsenal of commands. I use this in photoshop and illustrator for keyboard shortcuts and actions. It makes me feel like a wizard.

I have this mouse and the software is the thing that i probably love the most. You can set it up so it stores profiles directly to your computer instead of the on-board memory that are also linked to a specific games. The best part is that you can also set it up so it switches profiles for you automatically depending on which game you are playing. You can go from playing PoE to Metro Last Light to the Witcher 2 very seamlessly because the software is so good.

I just got the G600 just a week ago. I haven't had any issues what so ever with it! The buttons on the side seemed way smaller than they seem in videos/pictures. The mouse is a bit smaller than the G500, which disappointed me at first but it's still a really good mouse! The LEDs on the side can be pretty bright which is awesome. No real problems with this mouse.

Reeeeaaaaal late, I don't know much about Corsair, the only product I've ever bought from them is the Corsair Harpoon, for my cousin though, I'd just go with the G600 since Logitech is pretty sturdy and known for having pretty good mice, the biggest selling point IMO would be the price. IMO, the Scimitar doesn't look nearly as good as the G600.

Kind of late considering 4 years, but for the last 2 years i've had a scimitar and have used it daily for 5-6 hours. I can say go with G600 if anyone else is reading this. Left click on the scimitar got mushy and hard to click relatively early in the mouse life and just this week the 1 button on the side is double clicking and not registering sometimes. The scimitar is certainly a more "gamer" looking mouse and the RGB is nice, but for overall durability the G600 has it beat.

Also i have the white version and i do not recommend getting that one if you don't like to clean it often! Also i would suggest you use either a cloth pad or a textured pad with this mouse because of how large the slippy pads are.

I've used the Naga, Corsair Vengeance M90, and the G600, and the G600 is by far the best. The Naga is made of cheap material and if very flimsy, also the buttons are all the same on the side (though I didn't have issues with it). The M90 is built well and is a good mouse, I just never got used to the buttons. The G600 is perfect though, I literally have no complaints about it (been using it for a few months now)
@ChronoIZPaul11 жыл бұрын
I own the G600 and it does have a learning curve when it comes to getting used to the ring button, but other than that its definitely perfect for MMOs or programs that require multiple macros to fully utilize. This is also the first MMO mouse I bought so I can't really compare it to the Naga but I chose it over the Naga because of the side button placement and the G600 being more geared for larger hands.

I wish they would make a roller-ball mouse with lots of buttons. Nothing in my experience allows you to moves like a rollerball (think melee staying on targets, sharp/quick turns etc). I used to use logitechs model (forgot the exact name). They are good - whilst they work, and I can't afford a new mouse every 3 months because the buttons stick.

I like having my pinky off the mouse so that's how I use it. Also, Logitech doesn't state anywhere that the third button is designed for pinkies, so I think it's safe to say you're making an assumption which you believe is correct. Where my pinky is against is a grippy honeycomb texture, I'm sure that isn't so the air can grip the mouse better. See 5:09 . How I hold it in the video is not wrong.

Tek crew - I use the MS Natural Laser Mouse 6000 due to the comfortable ergo grip (and my large hands) and suggestions for something similar in a gaming mouse?
You could always remap the far right button to the right click and make the other one middle click. I've actually never cared too much for using the scroll wheel as a button. I know it works fine but its just not my preference. Mainly because I have big hands and the scroll wheel ends up halfway down my middle finger where it's not easily clicked.
@peddersoldchap10 жыл бұрын
It should have a resistenceless wheel. It's really cool for scrolling.

I've got the WAVE keyboard and mouse...but the mouse is a tad small and I like having the ability to program macros without lifting my hand from the mouse. @latuman11 жыл бұрын
I have never clicked the ring button by accident. It probably depends on the grip and person. I find it a bit tricky to press even, but I have bound it to a spell in world of warcraft. It's a great mouse. BTW, the reason they dont reveal the sensor type is because it's the same as everyone else and nothing special. I'm stunned that Logitech, Razer and co. don't make their own sensors and compete with them.

I would have to agree with this review of this mouse. At first my concern was grip, that is not an issue and I thought it was going to be slipping out of my hand all the time that does not happen often. I have been using this mouse for a day or two and my first impressions are, it is a very well-built mouse, size made it awkward to use at first as well as the G shift button on the far right of the mouse. I will probably get used to it and over the next two months that I am going to be using it then it will be second nature. All in all I love this mouse!!!

This is the best mouse I have ever used. My parents got it for me for Christmas 2 years ago, and it has been good to me ever since. It is easily programmable, you can change the lights on the side, as well as the button functions, which you can set to any key on the keyboard. At first, I used the ring finger click as my right click until I learned that's not how you do it, and that the mouse is not broken -_-. Also, the mouse took a bit to get used to because my previous mouse was light as air, while the G600 is surprisingly heavy, but was pretty easy to get used to. And, they were right about how it does not get as dirty as other mice. I can't remember the last time I cleaned mine, and I eat at my computer every night.
@minecraftkid3099 жыл бұрын
***** Oh yeah, the only thing that you need to get used to are two things. First, it is pretty heavy compared to the average crappy mouse you can find anywhere. Second, it has the third button, and actual right-click is the middle button. It is very smooth and never gets clogged with dirt slowing down it's physical movement.
@minecraftkid3099 жыл бұрын

Even in 2019 this mouse is still great. And for WoW classic, it's probably the best mouse you could ever use. I also love it for Fallout 4, setting my 'favorite' items to the G buttons. Between profile swapping and shift allowing 30 buttons per profile (90 different actions can be mapped; mouse 1,2,3,4 wheel left and right, 12 G buttons, and shift+G buttons.) My favorite use for this mouse is in WoW BfA. I have mine set up with one profile for healing, one for melee tank/DPS, and one for casting DPS on my druid. I switch spec, and all my macros are ready to rock and roll. I've actually been accused of using some kind of "rotation bot" because of how quickly I can switch targets and fire off the perfect rotation but what people don't realize is that 30 keys per profile is pretty incredible when you have such a robust macro system like WoW's, where I can map 30 different macros to the keys BUT I can also write them so that they do 4-5 different things EACH depending on if I'm holding shift, alt, or ctrl on my keyboard as well as mouseover, so that 30 keys becomes almost 150 *per profile*, for a whopping 450ish things you can do with a single click or holding one keyboard key and clicking a button. Build your castsequence macros right and you can build conditional macros for any situation and the button is right there at your thumb!

when the female is asked what she would change @6:31, she says she would move the G keys 9-20 back further so she doesnt have to extend her thumb forward for the top row, but that was just her small hands. I can say as a man with larger hands, I disagree completely and think they should be moved forward, because it feels more unnatural to me to curl my thumb back to reach the bottom row, it goes against the general flow of the mouse. That being said just got mine today, and this thing still holds up! loved it right out of the box.

As I said to someone else, it's preference, but that doesn't mean the design wasn't in mind, or the intent. The add the grip for people that choose to hold it another way. The fact that it's an MMO mouse pretty much speaks for the design by itself. You're not meant to lift a finger off to press a second button, especially in an MMO environment. My comment wasn't meant to be insulting, I commented because I figured you guys simply didn't know.

Nice review! Just got one today 6/21/20 $37 on AMZ. While not a big MMO person, I do love the thumb keys which you can reassign to whatever you want. I am actually using it for WASD + other keyboard keys for FPS, so I can game one handed.... I injured my left hand and it is mostly useless for WASD and a 2 handed gamepad is out of the question. I don't think anyone would win many CS:GO/COD matches doing it all one handed, but it is doable. I wish it was wireless, but it's not a deal breaker. I will say that the Logitech Gaming Software is crash prone, it crashed on me 3 times just today and I'm pretty sure you have to have it running while gaming for the profiles to work? It is easy to use though.

When this happens you have to open it up and put some epoxy or something to flatten out the bevel on the post... The keypad is amazing on a naga though, I don't know what the 2014 is like for how it clicks, but metal switches are much better, go for the G600. Using a 602 right now, wish I got the 600 =/.

my 5 year old razer naga started to give away recently and im thinking about getting one of these. Although i don;t like the idea of that third button on the right. does't it easily click accidentally just by having your hand on it? is it annoying? these are the questions i have. Also, the white model, does it get yellow with time even if you clean it regularly? because it's pretty as heck.

The G-shift doesn't get in the way or accidentally click for me. Honestly mine gets little action since I end up using ctrl with my left hand on the keyboard anyway, since I'll end up needing to use ctrl-shift occasionally.

At that pricepoint, I will definitely put this at the top of my list of next mouse to buy. Thanks for the video, Logan and Pistol.

I have this mouse. Over all it's amazing so easy to customise all the button layouts. But the third large button have become a bit slow after about 6 months of use... Maybe it's just mine but still wanted to share my experience.

I also some times when i press the mouse wheel, the mouse reacts as if i both pressed it and tilted it right...

I also have the classic naga and would recommand the logitech one over the classic naga anytime, build quality feels a lot better, thumbs buttons too + 3rd click. The g600 is pretty heavy tought compared to the naga ;)

I am a Naga user. What do you like better with the G600, just curious.

I own this mouse and love it, but the one issue I hate is how the sensor will randomly jump to the top or bottom of the screen. This has gotten me killed more times than I can count. Other than that, I love this mouse to death.
