@@Chystyle Well he's kinda both, In the context of this show he is functionally the same as the Loki's we've been following throughout the show only he survived his encounter with Thanos and lives a life of isolation. Obviously being from another timeline there were likely other differences, but he's the loki that's closest to being our Loki. But of course on the other side of the spectrum he is definitely based on OG comic book Loki, so really both names are applicable.

For Old Loki i don't think his sacrifice was about his getting sick of where he was. I think it's about truly doing something different. He said early, "We never change" him sacrificing his life for a chance at a world where Loki's and really anybody can be whoever they want to be is true change it's something truly different. It's glorious purpose.

That little Thor is Throg, the Frog Thor, the version of him is a Thor who was enchanted by Loki, and turned into a Frog. That's just one of many references in this episode alone, including the Thanos Copter.

When Mobius was pruned, he had traded his tempad for Renslayers in her office. Then Renslayer took her tempad back when he and Loki came out of the time loop room together, so he didn't have one on him when he was pruned.

What impresses me most was the writing and acting. Revonna for example--her huge emotional investment in what the TVA is supposed to stand for. Well, think about it--she must have killed how many people, worked how hard on its behalf? Mind you--I also suspect this is a hint of who she really is. Loved how Classic Loki was also a startlingly wise and mature person, who died laughing having achieved his own "Glorious Purpose" which was not power or rule but rather an act of sacrifice for the greater good.

0:26 - "every single MCU movie and tv show up to this point" -- Every time Mary says this it makes me want to weep. Since a lot of my favourite MCU material is in tv shows she hasn't watched yet. Some people say they're not canonical, but they were announced as canonical when they aired, and many of them feature actors and characters from the movies (Peggy Carter, Nick Fury, Lady Sif, Howard Stark, etc.) as well as other plot points from and references to the movies. And given time-branching shenanigans, any slight discrepancies can be easily explained away.

Old Loki didn't just conjure a city, he conjured Asgard, in complete detail, which was enough to attract Alioth, which proved to be his "Glorious Purpose!" The reason that Mobius was able to leave the void is that Sylvie grabbed Ravonna Renslayer's tempad before she self-pruned.

you know i thought the religious imagery was so unexpected in this episode... And it's so well done... i mean you have a literal horned god of lies fighting an absolute authority...from a higher plane of existence... made up of an army all-seeing servile beings... who worship a master viewed as a trinity- who are unreachable and touted as all-powerful and infinitely wise... you figure with that first episode in the church hinting at who the bad guy was supposed to be with the mosaic glass- that was one thing; Loki talking to a TVA member about questioning faith- that's another thing...but to Loki literally wielding a flaming blade like how god feared Lucifer wielding the flaming sword of Eden against Him. the Lucifer v. God plot thread is just Absolutely WILD coming from someone so family friendly as Disney... but it works somehow; in almost every savior story they seem to want to re-hash the tale of Jesus (looking at you, Man of Steel...) with an All Good Hero fighting evil, failing, but coming back to win in the end. that's all comic book stories at some point. But "No one good is All good" right? having an Anti-Heaven as a villain and an Anti-devil as our Anti-Hero be the struggle here is something i haven't seen done before for a general audience. I'm so excited for the next episode this is...just...as Owen Wilson would say "...Wow..."

I don't get the Old or Classic Loki, said that he *SURVIVED* getting Killed by Thanos, but in episode 1 Mobius said that Loki was ALWAYS MEANT to be Killed by Thanos, because that is how Time was Supposed to go, so why would the TVA *NOT* take this Loki when he Survived, If infact that WAS Against how Loki' s life was supposed be ? Does that infact mean that Main MCU Loki is *STILL ALIVE* ? I know that he might Not be, but I still wanted to ask the question.
