I gotta disagree with one thing. I think the trigger for Victor Timely to dump Ravonna wasn’t the thought that she didn’t want a romantic relationship but that he doesn’t do “partnerships.” Remember when the guy who wanted to buy his machine said he wanted a partnership and VT responded….”I don’t do partnerships.” I think that was foreshadowing that Ravonna wanted love AND to be a partner or equal. Kang won’t allow anyone to be his partner or equal.

7:30 Actually I think you may have this wrong MT. Yes when Renslayer 1st goes to Chicago it says it is the Sacred Timeline, but when we see it later in 1893 it now says its a branched timeline. The only thing that could have turned that into a branch is Renslayer dropping off the book, which means that in the Sacred Timeline Victor Timely never got that book. We know from Season 1 that HWR(and his variants) come from the 31st century and we also know that his main goal was preventing anymore dangerous variants of himself. What better way to depower Kang than to drop him somewhere in time that is technologically limited? HWR changed the sacred timeline so that any variants of him would not have the technology they needed. He made a plan in the case of his death which was for Renslayer and Miss Minutes to create a nexus event by giving a young Victor Timely everything he needed to know about the TVA. I think the secret is that He Who Remains WILL NOT BE CAPABLE of winning the war against his variants without Ravonna. So he promises her a seat at the end of time ruling over all time by his side. After the war is won he doesn't just betray her by not making her his queen so to speak. He makes it a worse betrayal by wiping her mind and making her just another drone who had to fight for a position at the top, just as she had when we first met her. We already know she used to be a Hunter then got promoted to judge later. So he didnt even let her start as a higher up she had to get that on her own too.

To be honest one of the best cliffhangers was Baylan shoving Ashoka over the cliff and leaving Sabine to pick up the pieces in episode 4. Also we see Anakin at the end so I’d say that episode was the best with cliffhangers. It got us talking, then got us wanting more, and again that episode brought the OMG moments. Also proves our theory about episode 4 being the most climactic episodes. Anyways, I should have said “Marvel shows” not Disney. Yet history shows it’s the 4th episode and it’s almost 99% the big one. They do the character development and then go hard moving forward. It’s almost always the 4th episode. Also many KZbinrs I actually work for like Paul, Reel Rejects, and Cosmic Wonder have said the same.

Great rundown. One plot point I can’t shake is that Loki listens to an AUDIO recording of Renslayer and HWR. I feel like there is a reason we don’t see the exchange. It’s especially telling that HWR calls Renslayer a “marvel,” which I think is more than just an Easter egg. He has used that term so far in relation to scientific/technological achievements. He’s also a narcissist so is more likely to say “you are a marvel” as a form of self praise than a compliment - she is his masterwork.

Something I've noticed is that the Ouroborus Loki visited in the past didn't wear glasses but the "present" version has yet to be seen without. Victor timely happens to wear glasses and yet Kang and his other variants do not. Maybe Victors destiny is to pluck Kang out and restore him and he then wipes Victors mind, transmogrifies him and boots him downstairs. This could be why Victor was able to understand the handbook so well as he wrote it in the future but each time around the loop more gets added

1) If OB was a variant he would be able to use his temporal aura to open the TVA doors. 2). Could be right 3) No, HWR is prime 616 Kang (because he isolated 616 from the multiverse and we know all kangs were fighting to preserve their universe), Timely is a 616 branched timeline variant (HWR simply plucked him into the sacred timeline after he isolated 616 and eliminated all other 616 kangs in case he needed an easy access successor), and Conquerer is an alternate multiversal Kang that originated outside 616 and started the multiversal war but got exiled to the quantum realm by the council and was then "killed" in quantumania

1) OB is not a variant but a Life Model Decoy of a Kang variant so he does not have a temporal aura or need to sleep or do things life forms need to do. 2) Ravonna Renslayer is probably a clone of a Kang variant Kang eliminated because she wanted a "partnership" with Kang and Kang does not do partnerships. That's why He Who Remains called her a "marvel" because he had created her. When the clone started becoming more like the original, he had to "lobotomize" her and the part he removed became Miss Minutes so possibility they combine as one to become whole again. 3) Kang and all his variants are the Beyonder. Marvel doing a recon of Victor Timely being an ancestor of Reed Richards would explain how Franklin Richards had his type of power. TVA exists outside of time. Victor Timely can still be a "good guy" that eventually becomes "Kang the Conqueror" who believed he was a "good guy" trying to stop a multi-verse war. Quantumania Kang was not as powerful because like Infitity Stones and Loki's powers don't work inside the TVA, Kang's powers are suppressed inside the quantum realm. Kang didn't die in Quantumania. His energy got released and boosted by the multi-versal core making him the prime Kang or the Beyonder for Secret Wars. Victor Timely (as a child), Kang the Conqueror, and He Who Remains were all on the Sacred Timeline so they were all the same person. But they were all part of this MCU which is 19999 universe. The child getting the TVA handbook created a nexus event and branched timeline creating the 616 universe in 1868 which is new MCU soft reboot and still allows existing Marvel characters to be part of 616 universe.

If I don't see, "Never Love" in that book that he gave him, I sear it'll be the worse missed easter egg in the history of missed easter eggs. @deathstar9137 Timely is clearly not He Who Remains. He's a variant. He Who Remains came from the 31st or 32nd century. Ravonna says he's a variant. Timely tells Miss Minutes, "I'm not the man you think I am." Timely talks the same way a young Immortus would, with long theatrical pauses. Immortus doesn't have partners in the Council of Kangs, he leads the Council of Kangs. He Who Remains knew that Victor Timely could fix the TVA if he was given the guidebook at the right moment. This all leads back to He Who Remains winning the war, but Victor Timely is just another one of He Who Remains' pawns.

I could’ve sworn when Loki and Mobius came through the time door it said Branched Timeline. Ren Slayer going back and doing that created a new branched timeline. Doesn’t that mean in the sacred timeline he wasn’t supposed to have the book? Giving him the book created a new branch where he discovered things he shouldn’t have. Sylvie even says it to Loki thinking he went back and gave the Guidebook to Victor not Ravona.

We obviously only have HWR's word for this, but the backstory he provides in the S1 finale is that his variants came from the 31st Century. Victor Timely existing in the past would seem destined for obscurity given the technology of the period (and the racial politics) unless someone actively intervened. It's interesting to note that the Sacred Timeline does not seem to have had a Kang -- not even it its future, as Kang time travels and would've confronted the Avengers already. In Quantumania, Kang talks about the "one with the hammer" and alludes to having killed many other Avengers, which might've happened in other timelines. As I speculated elsewhere, I think HWR might've originally hid out at the end of time and then chose as the sacred timeline one where a version of him never emerges. In other word, the Sacred Timeline is not just one where that universe's Kang prevailed -- as the Avengers has never confronted Kang and would not have until Sylvie killed HWR.

​@TheBlackSaint I disagree I believe that HWR is the main 616 Kang because we know all kangs were fighting for supremacy and to keep their universes alive, so why else would HWR isolated 616 if he didnt originate from it? Also, knowing that timelines and universes are different (refer to KZbinr "A Bit of Everything" for proof), it can be deduced that HWR is "prime" kang because he clearly originates from 616 universe. It can be inferred that after HWR defeated the mulitversal council (not killed), he grabbed a branched timeline variant of himself (Timely) before exterminating all 616 timelines and then plucked that version into the isolated sacred timeline (as a contingency in case he needed a succsssor). Ofc we know this wont work because in NWH and MOM we see multiversal shenanigans affecting 616, meaning the TVA will fail to keep 616 isolated from the multiversal council (and with Conquerer Kang "dead", the council is ready to destroy 616.)
