So true mate, if it was good enough for Bruce Lee who danced , its good enough for Lomachenko.

Orlando Salido didn't need dancing to maul him and neutralize his angles.
@freedomsteak5716 жыл бұрын
You're right, all Salido needed was about half of his punches to be below the belt.

FreedomSteak who won that fight again? Freddie roach said it best to those who claim people cheat in boxing when it comes to that.
@TucoBenedicto6 жыл бұрын
Did you actually watch his fight against Salido? The Mexican was a weight bully, used any sort of dirty tactics, had the referee as a blatant ally and STILL he barely survived the last round going pretty close to being KO'd. There's a reason if since then Salido avoided the rematch like the bubonic plague.
@doncentral55166 жыл бұрын
Footwork is so underated in Boxing these days IMO. I was told old timers wouldn't let you throw a punch until three months of just footwork and movement when you were starting of. You can see such a difference in form from fighters back in day compared to now.
@dirtypete87506 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I was told...first 3 months moving up and down the hall not a punch thrown...also explained there were 20 guys and 2 bags in the gym usually.
@CenturianEagle6 жыл бұрын
Don Central and footwork wasn’t that evolved or advanced yet, so you can imagine the results someone would have if they were built from the ground up the way you described and then after that, continued to always work on and respect the footwork aspect to a high degree. Footwork is everything. You train a boxer with just some combos in the beginning on the bag and pads, and then the first time they spar they realize they can’t throw anything but a step in jab unless they’re planted, and then they realize they don’t know how to move and punch and get into position on a willing, moving, game opponent. At that point a lot of people quit because they’re sad and disappointed (because they thought they were good and were able to get some loud punches) which is unfortunate because all they have to do is work on their footwork a lottttt, and with a clear humble mindset. The humble part is hard, people don’t want to believe that they have to learn beginner fundamental footwork. Starting with the footwork for 3 months would negate that, not to mention build a solid foundation and put them ahead footwork-wise.
