Again in tears ! After watching so many of these UK reunions and being an adoptee, I hear common threads throughout. Was I wanted, did she ever think of me, was I a family secret. I can no answer some of those questions after finding my birth family 2 1/2 years ago. I was a family secret except for 1 great Aunt that told the family secret once I found them. My Birth Mom had already passed ,so I will never know the answers to the rest. My Father knew nothing about me, but welcomed me with open arms once he got a look at me. My half sister and I could be twins !!! I am wanted and thought of now by both sides !! Hole in my heart has been filled to over flowing !!

When I found my bio sister we had so much in common. My sister and I have had twin lives. She was a mail carrier for USPS and then became a Real Estate Broker. I was a Real Estate Broker and then became a mail carrier. We have both worked for the U.S. Census Bureau. We drive the exact same car and both had purchased newer models of that same car for years. We both have one son, are divorced, and moved away to small towns near ski resorts in the high desert. The best thing was the first time we laughed out loud at the same time. Our son's looked at each other and said, "that was weird" because of how much we sound alike. It has been a blessing.

This is one of my favourite episodes. The father and son who are spitting images of each other is overwhelming. What most people don't know is that there is a follow up of this story. There is a genetic problem that the father tells the son about. The son goes to a specialist and his life is saved because of this information. Without this show he most likely would have died young without knowing why. It is a truly remarkable story with very dear people. Nicky and Davina do an incredible thing for human beings. Yes they are probably well paid and have become even more successful from this series but one sees over and over their personal involvement and the times they are genuinely moved. This show really puts to rest the idea of English stiff upper lip. That may be true among the Aristocracy, Royal Family and Gentry but not the millions or good and real people who are full of emotion, hugs, tears, laughter, compassion and empathy. For me this show has had not only a healing effect from my own past but gave me a wonderful insight into a cross section of dear British people.

Marion and Jim working together, even though they are no longer together, just made the episode so much more meaningful. Just like Simons parents, their families would not accept their child and forced her to give her baby up for adoption. Several years later after graduating high school, the couple got married and had more children. This story always brought my mother to tears wondering if they would ever find their son. My mom passed in 2008. If that couple has not yet found their son, maybe mom can lead them to each other ❤️

I searched 36 years for my bio family spending tens of thousands of dollars on services and investigators. When Ancestry became available I gave it a shot. Finding out that my parents got married and had three more children was the most painful and joyous time of my life. After feeling empty inside for 52 years, that moment when the puzzle was finally solved was life-changing. Everything was suddenly different. My parents were already gone (bio and adoptive), as well as both of my adoptive brothers and one bio brother BUT I still had a little sister, a little brother, and a bunch of older half-siblings out there that I hadn't yet met. Unfortunately, my bio parents never told anyone about me. It took a little convincing that I wasn't scamming them and once they saw a picture of me it became obvious. A month later we all met in Las Vegas, NV and they greeted me and my son with a huge "It's A Girl!" balloon. Meeting people that look like you for the first time is amazing. My sister and I have kept in touch and we go on vacations together still. It is beyond coincidence all that we have in common and so incredible to have a sister.

With 23 & Me and such, one can find their entire family instantly. My brother found a daughter he was totally unaware of and he has grandchildren! The daughter he raised decided not to have children, so he is jazzed. He's 68, and will soon be a great-grandfather!

Every time I start to be disgusted in society, I rewatch these episodes and cry with happiness that there are people out there bringing families back together and I have hope again. Sounds a bit much, but it's true.

I've been an avid fan of LLF since its first episode years ago. I think that it's because my own fractured family's early years have proved just too difficult to find. Anyway, the music that is played when the families reunite is so beautiful. It took me two years to find it. If anyone is interested it's called 'Spiegal im Spiegal' (something like "Mirror in the Mirror') by the eminent Estonian composer Arvo Part. We've been using his music ever since to relax and calm us down, especially during the 'lock downs'.

Thanks! I couldn't put my finger on why it felt familiar. Arvo Part's music is the most beautiful, complex, simple, calm, deep, haunting, entrancing music ever

I have to watching the show and the others, I've always wanted to know what my mother was like. I was adopted as a baby but never not got to know what my mother's name was. I've always wondered if I had brothers and sisters. Thank you for letting me post this.

Dad and son are so much alike, I laughed and cried at the same time. Dad basically made a copy of himself when became a dad. 😁 🥰 🫶

I sometimes wonder how Davita and Nicki handle all the emotion. It's kind of sad to me that they can't be or at least stand afar and watch the reunion that they have worked with others to produce. Really enjoy the show. :-)
