I love These longer games. Please Keep them coming. Learning so much from These. Thank you!

Great to see games like this where it's all about fun and creativity and daring! Much more interesting than having 15 moves of committee-approved theory before you you are allowed to show your own style.

That feeling when you thought your game was a masterpiece, but then you turn on the engine after the game.

The opening you played is very close to a rare idea in the Blackmar Diemer Gambit against the Lemberger defense: 1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4 3.Nc3 e5 4.Qh5 exd4 5.Bc4 (Sneider Attack), with the difference of black having the bishop on d7 and the c pawns being off the board.

I love you for attacks like this. Noone still plays romantic chess like this and you're the best. Also I liked the deep calculations you explained, not just general ideas for beginners. Please keep it higher level in your long play game videos. And I want to say you're very generous for showing 18 hours of your DVDs for free, thanks for everything Simon!

Exchange slav is best objective line vs Slav not boring at all it never end in a draw.

amazing stuff :)

To be fair: the Exchange Slav is not as dull as the Exchange French ;)
I stopped playing the French because of the exchange.

@TheGuy WhoPlaysChess man... 1) Every opening is fkin exiting when you see Magnus vs Ding or whichever Super-GM you fancy watching. 2) Exchange French !== Advance French (or the Poisoned Pawn Variation or even the King's Indian Attack).
@Tobi-pn2xs4 жыл бұрын
@@giannotti7777 depends. Magnus plays to have fun and Ding's a very recourseful and ambitious player but if you look at most super GM games that don't make it on KZbin... let's just say you'll quickly realize why they didn't make it^^.

Was Kf1 really justified? I know the bishop could be used to get the knight out, but couldn’t he just as well have used his bishop to prevent that (i.e. Bd6 or Ba5)?
@HipHopAn0n3 жыл бұрын
If Kf1, Bd6 maybe then Bxf7 and Bg5+ to come for White. But yeah Blacks bishop didnt ultimately serve any purpose on b4

Hackney Chess club must have loved you. It's not often you see a grandmaster in a university chess team.
@Robertl-xz6yl4 жыл бұрын
Uranus he went to Brighton uni, I don’t even know if Hackney have a uni team they aren’t in the UK uni chess league if they do. I think Hackney was just a normal chess club (non uni)

So you are going to record 18 hours of that dvd in this KZbin channel and you left it on your channel? If it is true, then you are a freaking bloody super generous gentleman! And I will shut up and be a ginger ninja!

I think he will just stream it on twitch and not save it. I mean "just", still very generous.
