I love that you are promoting new haircare brands, its refreshing to not see another routine with OUAI and Brigeo or any expensive sephora brand😅

I saw someone doing these faux french braids a few months ago and have been doing it a bunch too. I enjoy doing it so much more than actual fench braiding! It's so much quicker and easier to do.

I never prioritized scalp care until I began following you and when I tried scalp treatments, I was never consistent. For the times I used the ones I had like the JVN scalp treatment, it didn't do anything for me. But, when I got Bur Bur, I noticed a difference from the first use and any time I skipped using it on wash day, I noticed my scalp got annoyed. It was so worth buying and lasts me a while! My hair has grown a lot in the last 4-5 months! By the way, I have the same experience with Shea Moisture. The Manuka Honey Mask is fantastic, but the shampoos and conditioners make my hair and scalp over moisturized and almost have a smell after a while. I think the moisturizing ingredients and shea butter does not cleanse my scalp, but rather clogs my follicles and almost creates an enviornment for yeast growth because of the build up of moisture and oil. If they sell the brand near you or you can buy online, try Not your Mother's. I like the Matchs Green Tea and Apple Wild Blossom one :)

I have used the Innate life scalp treatment and the Blue Beautify one, haven’t tried Bur Bur. Does you scalp ever feel sensitive or clogged with the Bur Bur one? Also, would you recommend it?
@vicsolimo
@vicsolimo 7 ай бұрын
@@gnssprlt.Bur Bur does not clog my pores and is easy to wash out with a sulfate-free shampoo :) I use 1 dropper full all over my scalp, massage it in for about a minute, then clip up my hair and let it sit for at least an hour before I wash it out. I have a sensitive scalp and Bur Bur soothes it and has cleared my scalp of irritation, itching, flaked and buildup

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ll check for them next time I’m at the drugstore. I’m really glad you found a scalp treatment that works for you, sometimes that’s all it takes!

I'm the exact same i'm never consistent with my scalp treatments. Since maybe 2018 i've been doing coconut oil scalp massages and rice water treatments but inconsistently so thats why i probably never notice any huge results. I also have the same experience with the manuka honey shampoo it doesn't clean my scalp properly at all.

@@gnssprlt.Bur Bur has been so good for me honestly. It's so soothing and gentle, and it washes out easily. I would recommend it!

I feel like the flax seed gel helps you more than the oils combined.

Will you ever go back to the callia & innate life products?
@a49-n2o
@a49-n2o Ай бұрын
This is so useful for me as I've been confused as to how to incorporate both flaxseed and scalp oiling at the same time, like I'd be worried that the oil doesn't penetrate well after the flax, or if the hair becomes too fragile to massage in with the combo. If I may ask, how long have you been doing this combo? If it seems to have worked out for you for some time then I'm going to try it!! - Thank you!

I've not tried flax seed gel yet and I only oil after washing. Although I do use shop bought treatments. Maybe I should experiment more when I've used those up.

Thank you so much! I usually ask for the shortest piece to hit just below my eyes, like right under my lashes basically. The first week or 2 they feel really short but then they end up sitting perfectly! The longest piece usually ends in the hollows of my cheeks

any advices for someone dealing with hard water in a country where shampoos that work for them nor filters are available? it’s destroying my hair 💔
@OrganicallyAnna
@OrganicallyAnna 6 ай бұрын
Try doing a clarifying rinse once in a while, like maybe an apple cider vinegar rinse, to remove some of the hard water buildup. Regular hair masks will also help to keep your hair soft and manageable! You could try a clarifying shampoo once in a while as well if you don't like doing rinses
@TracyD2
@TracyD2 5 ай бұрын
Also do a final rinse with bottled water. If it’s affordable enough buy water by the gallon and wash with that. There are a few videos around on how to wash hair with a gallon of water or small amount of water. I recommend washing face with bottled water as well. It might be a good investment.

Thanks so much! I usually ask for the shortest piece to be right under my eyes, like right below my lashes, and then the longest piece usually ends up being near the hollows of my cheeks. The key for me has been learning how to style them the way I like them best but that just takes trial and error!
