I imagine horribly at first since it's such a different medium than painting planes and tanks.

@@TheModelGuy best bit of advice I can any new painter is not rush yourself and give yourself the time to build up several thin layers of paint which will give more control. Brush control and all that you pick pretty quick once you keep painting :)

Nice work, Shane! 👍🙂 Question: When adding your washes at 6:50 do you first clear coat the surface?
@longlance676 жыл бұрын
its only really when I'm doing oil washes on vehicles when I lay down clear coats on figures I use acrylic washes so I tend not to, but their would be no harm in adding a clear coat if you so wished
@phayzyre10526 жыл бұрын
Okay, thanks!

A cracking piece of work Shane, I'm learning stacks from your videos! BTW the gaiters were coated in Blanco, by 1944 they used a shade called KG3, and the rolled item on top of the pack is a gas cape. ;-)

Increíble, verdaderamente...es un alto nivel la técnica que posees...la mezcla de colores, los tonos, el repaso del pincel, las sombras, etc, etc. Me he quedado anonadado.

absolutely gorgeous work here mate! when i saw your review of that fig some time ago i was very curious to see what you will do with it one day - and here it is :) it is a great subject, when it comes to the landings itself people tend to focus on omaha primarily.

thanks very much mate, I wanted to do something that wasn't another Omaha Beach project as there is far too much on that alone, and the fact that Sword, Gold and Juno were just as interesting and not to mention all have a massive amount of footage was recorded of those beaches so seemed fitting to represent them

Impressive! Question; all though I get why you’re high lightning the uniform but why don’t you just get all around with a over all dry brushing after the wash/shade? Thanks for your wonderful and fantastic tutorials❤️ (Also I love this new format with the light blue ”back drop” as it’s much easier to watch).
@longlance676 жыл бұрын
thanks Andreas! I am really happy with the light blue backdrop too, you could do a drybrush after the wash, which is very common in wargaming circles, however the thing with drybrushing entire models it is looks like you drybrushed it and not like natural highlights, only certain items of equipment I tend to drybrush but not uniforms
