I wish my appearance was important to me. It used to be all I thought about and it was extremely toxic. I spent hours doing hair and makeup. I cared more about what I looked like than how I treated my kids. I’ve grown out of my ego now but now I don’t have any motivation to get dressed up. My motivation was my ego and now that that is gone it just feels like. Why get dressed... I’m a stay at home mom and I only get dressed when I go out which is rare and even then I just wear jeans and a T-shirt. I want the motivation back but I don’t know where I can find it. I just don’t care how other people see me anymore.

I am here because I feel shy dressing up like it doesn't suit me 😩 and that I'm trying so hard when in fact I just want to look good and feminine just like all other girls in my age does TT I grew up in male-centric family (they always give negative comments)--so I've always been pants and shirt and quite overweight as well. All those things combine is a mess of insecurity and self-conscious person.

How is it that something so trivial and insignificant as what we wear become so important. There are those whom dress "nice" or "appropriate " and look great, but feel horrible and are horrible humans. The fact is it doesn't matter what we wear or what label is on what we wear, we as a species have been focusing on everything external and in the process neglected the most important part of a human being your interior, the values and morals which can make us collectively progress instead of regress..
