I find your vlogs so very relaxing. So glad you popped up on my newsfeed x Very much appreciate you sharing your narrowboat life with us x You have no idea how uplifting it is x Even my hubby said he doesn't ' mind you two at all' - high praise indeed, trust me ha ha . I would love to do the same but unfortunately my husband's disabilities mean it is a no go for us and that is why i am so appreciative of your efforts and kindness in sharing your life x I have booked an afternoon tea and canal cruise in Skipton, which is about 40 minutes away, on the 6th October with my sister, daughter and daughter- in- law which will be the extent of my narrowboat experience lol but i am so looking forward to it . Also thankyou for sharing where we can find the music. I have now created a playlist called 'Music from Fran and Rich ' lol. I think i did comment in a previous vlog asking , what i now know to be Giants Nest , for info so please just ignore the comment . Blessed Be to you both and the pooches x

I know that this is an older video, but when you mentioned that Rich would blast his music as he cleaned up the boat - the first image that came to mind was Rich all dressed up a-la Queen’s music video for I Want to Break Free. Ha ha ha ha 🤣🤣🤣 the mental picture is making me laugh even as I’m typing this comment 🤣🤣. It would be a great cleaning montage to do. We just need a nice silky slip that fits Rich, and a fabulous bouffant wig (the bigger the better) - hilarious. GO RICH!! Fran, the rug looks brilliant. Great job. I’m interested to find out how it is holding up, these years later. All the best to you both. 🙂🐿🌈❤️

Thanks guys I think you are right I found this last lockdown excruciating agony. I'm so pleased I was able to get to the boat on Thursday. I've resorted to virtual cruising found a Narrowboat app that gets you steering a boat, also been green screening on my vlogs. The Ashby was in serious danger of loosing its water last Sunday my boat was resting in the mud for a while. You've made me hungry gonna have to make some soup. When I ran my own cafe we made gallons of the stuff so not fancied it for a couple of years. Thanks guys take care. Alan x

You may want to keep the Etsy storefront there even if you don't have much listed. It can be a 'landmark' for returning customers and interested customers can still find you through the Etsy marketplace. You can leave a note in your store description that people can contact you at your new website if they are interested in other things that might not be listed in Etsy. I have an Etsy store, too, but it hasn't outgrown Etsy enough to move it into its own website and I don't have any other 'go with' items like your blogs, videos, and podcasts. Congratulations on your growth! It's always a pleasure to catch up with you through your videos!

Yes, I probably will keep the Etsy store going. We just have to try to work out the simplest way of managing it. I think not every one can find Etsy.

My dog is white and he doesn't much like water! You are right, this lockdown has been much worse than the first. I am a Scout Leader and my colleagues and I haven't seen our Scouts for nearly nine months! Many of them will be too old to return to us and we miss them dreadfully. Which will go on because no return to "face to face" meeting is contemplated at the moment. Thanks for the soup tips, Fran, perhaps I ought to start doing that? My late mother-in-law was never a particularly inspiring cook (neither was my mum, come to that) but she did make really lovely soup. If we had been for a walk around Banstead (Surrey) a dish of her home made soup (always different) really hit the spot. Great vlog guys, good to know you are both safe and well.

Good to hear lockdown is ending for the UK again. Here in California they have closed indoor and outdoor dining again, luckily we were able to take my son out for his birthday dinner at his favorite restaurant before they shut it all down. We are fortunate in that my wife and I can work from home, "I have been busier than ever", but it has taken a toll, we all have cabin fever. The days have been really beautiful out here, which is a real shame because we are both stuck inside working. Your soup recipe looks perfect for a cool winters day, I will have to give it a try.

Just had a look and yes, they look very similar, even the same size. So interesting. There are some big estates near this one so I think it has just been moved out of the way and dumped at some point

@@FloatingOurBoat Wasn't it worth looking up? Its one of my favourite monuments in Cornwall. All the best.

Sell those “Christmas decorations “ as cat toys! Put a nip of catnip in a few and sell away. 😉

A lovely relaxed chat for a Saturday morning, thank you ❤️ How is the boat build coming along? You must be so excited as it gets closer! We drew up the plans for mine yesterday so the hull build can begin in February. Can’t wait now I’ve seen it on paper 🤣 Stay safe xxx

Great to see you both! The rug looks awesome. Thanks so much for creating the podcast channel. I’m going to make a large pot of tea and curl up and listen to them all. Glad you are both safe and well. Take care and hugs❤️

Yet another great vlog. Sat here on my sofa after a hard day on my boat doing DIY. Lovely end to my day.
