Dear Lana, all your tutorials are very well done and beautiful, I also loom knit and wanted to recommend the flexee loom links, you can add or remove links as you loom knit, I replace all my knitting looms for the Flexee Loom Links, they came in 3 different sizes, Chunky ( 5/8” ) skinny ( 3/8”) and the new size, regular ( 1/2”).

Thank you!

As I was watching this video, I was thinking it would be great to do it on a loom with a multiple of three pegs. The Flexee looms would definitely make this possible; so, for my husband with his big head, I would use 60 pegs with their chunky (5/8 gauge) loom. For myself with a slightly smaller 23” circumference head, I would probably need to buy Kb’s extra link with the three pegs; so, I could then make a 57 peg loom.

Hi Lara, Once you tie on the 2 additional colors onto the loom, the 1st 5 rounds you are working with only the red & brown yarns. How do you carry the unused 3rd color from row to row without it showing?
@LanaPark Жыл бұрын
For every row, I hide it behind the two colors I’m using!
@beckymusgrove5331 Жыл бұрын
@@LanaPark thanks for replying so quickly. So you carry the 3rd color of yarn (the one you're not using) all the way around the loom for each row while you are knitting the other 2 colors? Your video is on fast motion while you are wrapping the pegs & I can't follow what is happening to the unused color of yarn. Also, are you always putting the new working yarn OVER or UNDER the yarn color you just used to wrap the 3 pegs with? I am anxious to try this pattern. I really like it. Thanks for posting instructions on how to make it. I actually tried it already with only 1 strand of 4 worsted weight yarn for the brim, but it was too thin. Then I planned to used 2 strands of 4 worsted weight yarn for each color for the hat body. I couldn't tell what weight of yarn you used in your tutorial...4, bulky? I got to the part to add the additional 2 colors, & got stumped, so I ripped everything out. Im going to try it with 2 strands of 4 worsted weight yarn & see how that works after I hear back from you. Thank you for being so helpful & responding back so quickly!

@@beckymusgrove5331 no I’m Not carrying around the yarn of the third color for every row (sorry I’m Italian and English is not my first language). I carry it from the previous row to the next one. I found useful to leave the ball of yarn of the third color inside the loom, so it won’t ravel with the other two colors I’m using (I hope to have said it well) 🙂

It doesn’t matter, but the last column of colors is only one peg long instead of 2.

Can this be done on any size of loom? I want to make this style for myself but 41 pegs would make it to loose on my head?
@LanaPark6 ай бұрын
It can be done also on 36 peg looms but the pattern would change (first 4 rows with 4 reds and 4 browns) then 4 rows with 4 blacks and 4 reds)… but 41 pegs it’s for adults and it won’t be too loose
