Damn, it's really hard to do the final fast version. I felt like I had the slow version down, but speeding it up is super tough! Do you have any tips for being able to do the move faster? MihranTV?
@Noir_Nouveau2 жыл бұрын
use a metronome and gradually pick up the tempo
@triokindo6042 Жыл бұрын
first do it fast and roughly, with less focus on perfection. so you just move your legs in this "cross" on the ground. then become more and more precise with your steps
@LC-jo8zmАй бұрын
It’s not even suppose to be fast like that. Guy doesn’t have soul and he’s trying to do fast footwork to a soulful house beat that’s suppose to be so much slower and smooth and bouncy. This guy is like a robot trying to force a move to a beat that you feel within your soul. House is about a feeling. If you don’t even feel the music you’re listening to then what’s the point in learning this robotic forced footwork when the dance is suppose to come from within. The footwork is just the foundation. Without soul you’ll never look good dancing house, the true flow comes from within and your understanding to what house music really is and if it moves you. Main thing. I see so many people who feel nothing to the most amazing soul house iv ever heard in my life and yet they want to learn how to dance to it because it looks cool? Lol. Missing the whole point to what house is. It comes from within.

Love this tutorial. Disagree with you in terms of the speed that is necessary for house music.. It just depends on which kind of house music you enjoy dancing to. There is Afro, there is soulful, these do not require the speed. To me the speed is for the young people like yourself.. I am sure you are not in your forties or mid forties. Which by now the OG"s of house music dancer's are.. Which means, That older dancers are not going to be jumping around and moving that fast. So guys, what I am saying is you have to find your groove. Do not be sared away because of the speed.. you do not have to dance that fast. To me if it's too fast, you do not feel the music as much.. And what is the major difference (they say) in the house community. What do they say?. "House is a feeling" Right? it's a feeling? so do not get caught up in the speed Leave that to the B'boys..not to grown ups..and I slow it down and make it..sexy... I'm out...Peace..
@LC-jo8zmАй бұрын
Exactly!!!! These younger generation kids are trying to speed up footwork that isn’t intended to be fast lol you’re suppose to move super slow and bouncy almost like you’re floating and it comes to you with ease because you feel it within. This ding dong in the video is like robotic with no soul and trying to force the move something it’s not lol it’s funny tbh. I don’t think he understands house. Some people get it and some people don’t. House is about feeling

He doesn’t have any soul lol you’re suppose to become the music and have bounce and flow and this guy is more focused on just moving his feet quickly lol. What about your shoulders, your hands, your arms, your knees, your head, etc etc everything should be bouncing so it’s like you’re floating. This guy doesn’t have a good dance style in my opinion. Everyone has their own flow, some good and some bad, this isn’t considered good to me. House is a feeling. You’re suppose to exude the sound of it through your soul and it transfers through your body and you can tell through a dancers energy if they have that special soul. Some people got it and some don’t. This guy doesn’t have it.

Good lesson. Except one thing, that really bugs me. And it's not just you, many, many dance teachers do it. Counting-in before the dance starts is not just to show when the dancing starts, but also what the tempo, or speed is. So counting-in with one tempo. and then starting the dance with a different tempo, is just plain wrong, anyway you slice it. It's not difficult, but it is important. You don't do it all the time, but enough for me stop the video and write this. Keep up the good work, but please - count-in at the tempo you want to dance at.
