I have been plant-based or fully vegan now for the past four months and everything has been absolutely wonderful with the only negative that my stool is very loose and sometimes my stomach hurts but I do understand that by switching my eating patterns that this is a normal adjustment

I've been on a plant based diet for at least 6 years now. I eat a lot of oats, fruits such as bananas, apples and oranges. I also do take in some greens and nuts, seeds, and lentils. I am most often on the constipation side. I believe that I take in too much fiber but if I want to stay on a plant based diet the majority of what you eat is fiber. Not sure what to do from here.

@@Goodthoughtlol I am sometimes but not so bad any longer. I figured that my problem was that I take in way too much fiber that my digestive system cannot handle it. So now I juice a lot more to get the nutrients but still take in fiber foods but in less amounts now that I am juicing.

@@tlvdatsi12 to be honest for me only exercise cured me. Rigorous exercise every day. I think body is not meant to sit 8 hours a day and then and again sit for additional hours and sleep. Try daily rigorous exercise it helped me a lot.

This is interesting! I just started eating whole plant diet and also has experienced this. I’ve found out that it’s not uncommon for people that just start out on vegan diet to have these loose stools. The only benefit I’ve noticed so far is that I haven’t experienced acid reflux on vegan diet as before it was very frequent. I hope I don’t continue to have loose stool for much longer. Btw, on fast food diet I was constantly constipated, on vegan diet I’m runny 🤔

Yes. Grapes are intolerable for most. They are known for being a laxative, especially in large quantities. I frankly think they are too sweet to eat cups at a time anyways.

I do agree, but they are definitely well worth the effort to chop up a few inside of your grain bowl with your other veggies. Its pretty good

From my personal experience, I was consuming foods I'm allergic to that gave me loose stools. I have a nickel allergy and only recently learned that all grains, beans, nuts, seeds and many leafy greens are high in nickel! As soon as I took those out of my diet, I started feeling better and my stools are formed again.

That's odd, did you see a doctor or dietitian about the issue because restricting food when not necessary is a concern. Is loose stool the only issue encountered from this allergy and is it really a concern if it is just loose stool?
