Wow, even after all these years it still hurts Loretta to recall that moment when she found out Patsy had died. I'm glad Loretta didn't give up on her career out of grief.

Loretta let me sing once! Early 80s, Lake Charles, LA. I was in the army at the time. I stood in front of the stage while she held the mic. The song was "You can't be a beacon" I've seen her several times. That's the only time she asked people to sing and I ran from my 10th row seat! A great memory!

It's such a tragedy really, actually there were alot of musicians who could have given us so much more had they stayed alive. Otis Redding, Patsy Cline, Janis Joplin, Bessie Smith.. There are just countless musicians who were gone far too soon and unnecessarily. I am not a big Loretta fan but this clip is a tear jerker, you can really tell it upsets her to think about.

As far as domestic abuse. It's on record. Many of Patsy's friends, including country singers have said that both Patsy and her husband were aggressive people and that on many occasions Patsy started the fights and finished them. I am not condoning her behavior or his but you can't dig into him when she was also an abuser.
@helaberger40182 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was also different back then .....women were blamed even more for every littke thing --- like if his dinner want " perfect" !!! Her being blamed for " starting a fight" was probley her DEFENDING Herself , and yr.s of ABUSE ----- which can be verbal ---- emotional, financial , sexual , religious , and of course physical !!! How many more gotta suffer , or even be killed before more ppl. Like YOU Take this Issue as serious as it is !!!??? Wth ???🤣 🤔🙄😣😪😫
@vickit.1797Ай бұрын
she wasn't an abuser just because a woman figjts does not make her an abuser. even if she started it it doesn't make her an abuser. but she wasn't somebody that took shit from anyone. I'm pretty sure if she did start the fight it was over something he said earlier or somebody he flirted with earlier or something like that.

Misha Sandro has never done anything in her life to compare to the accomplishments of these two ladies.. Who is this no name to criticize anyone. Instead, she has chosen to criticize something she knows nothing about. Oh, and by the way, learn to punctuate so you don't appear illiterate. If you are a "professional", I can only guess what your profession is. Does it involve a pole?

Obviously MISHA has had so much criticism on his/her lack of knowledge using the English language, that he/she felt the urge to put the judgment call upon someone else. Stop the mud flinging Misha, as in the same sentence (I see no periods there) as you berate another's lack of understanding, you yourself use the inappropriate word "no" where it seems by the content of your missile, that you very likely intended the reader to interpret you having said "know" instead. Take it easy, let people be.
