i just wanted to say thank you, so much. There hasn't been much joy in my life lately, my father had a heart attack and seizure a few years ago and i have been caring for him, its been rough to say the least and art is my only escape. Finding your videos has helped me so much. I have started my altered book and have already done a few pages using your videos, i did the pockets with the string and the window page and i am having a blast! Also i think putting on underpants is my favorite part lol I get to relax and bond with my page. so fun! You have truly made a difference in my life. Thank You!

I have had random results with transfers in the past, but I recently discovered your channel and saw this video. I was immediately in love & needed to try. I had patience & waited for each layer of Matt medium (no mod podge) & then when ready, I added it to my art journal page. I then walked away for a whole day!! (I have another journal I'm working in) Success!!!!! It worked really well!! I used a colour magazine image of rocks & sea. I painted the page light blue. Wish I had seen sense to put white where rocks would be but I am thrilled with it. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.❤😊❤

I like the analogy of mixed media is like making soup. That resonates with me as that's how I make soup. Every time is a slightly different recipe. Thx. Just finished pulling pages out of an old book & gluing some back & front pages for stability...and away we go! lol

Hi LorriMarie! I've been spending this weekend binge-watching a lot of your videos (started back at the beginning)! I heard you talking about having to use a laser printer, or the images may smear when you apply mod podge, or whatever, on top. You may have heard by now, but in case you don't know, you can tell your students and followers to try workable fixative on printed inkjet images. It works pretty good! I usually apply a couple of coats, letting each coat dry well before applying the next. Love your videos, thanks! Oh and btw, I found your channel through Dawn Calvin (Let's Make a Mess Today).

Hmmmm, I threw away two transfers last night. :-) :-) Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I rubbed the image right off of the foil so that all I got was foil with occasional brown spots. If I didn't rub down to the foil, then I couldn't get the last filmy white pieces of paper to come off. Hours and hours and nothing to show for it but raw fingers! :-( :-( I'm gonna try again today!
