There's a special satisfaction that's only attainable from hearing that lost media has been found. My personal favorite media find from this year was Minecraft Alpha 1.1.1 being found on some woman's old laptop. Apparently that version lasted only 3 hours before being updates to 1.1.2, and nobody had been able to find it until then.

Fun fact: The models for the Blink 182 Spongebob weren't actually taken from Light, Camera, Pants! They were actually taken from Battle For Bikini Bottom and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game. If the music video says it was from that game, they must have gotten it wrong, and didn't know, or it was made to promote the game, as they both came out in 2005. Edit: this blew up when I wasnt looking so fast how

Sadly a lost media for me is the horror film my grandma saw when she was younger that absolutely scared her pants off to where a garage door opening made her start screaming in fear. She didn't remember much of the film and she's no longer with us sadly. Others say it was probably Frankenstein's monster but I don't know. The time is off to be Frankenstein's Monster because she was born in 1922 and I'm assuming she was in her teens or early 20s when she saw it.

“Kitty Bobo was cancelled for being too artsy and abstract for the current demographic…” Well considering the fact that animation became very psychedelic and abstract (such as Rick & Morty and Tuca & Bertie) by the next decade, Kitty Bobo was just ahead of its time, I’d say it needs to be rebooted for a full season. Megan Dunn is a forgotten influence that needs to be widely recognized!

I like how the Stanley pilot was literally the definition of lost because it's not found. It wasn't even locked away, it was just in a guy's storage room, who didn't know that it was sought after to begin with. Truly interesting insight into how some lost media is lost in the first place.

I've got a piece of lost media I'd LOVE to see: In 1993, during a rerun of 'Saved By the Bell: Hawaiian Style', promos were made during the commercial breaks showing the members of the original Bayside gang interacting with their counterparts from the premiere season of 'The New Class', a passing of the torch thing. I especially want to see the one with Scott and Zack, but so far I haven't found the clips anywhere on here or on search engines and someone else actually emailed NBC about them only to be told they don't have access to them. Our only hope is someone who taped that particular airing complete with the commercials! Darn, I expected that lady's demon face to be a LOT freakier, so now I'm incredibly disappointed;) I DID search for it when I watched that first video that mentioned it to no avail. But YOU BET I'm going to watch that ENTIRE three-hour Nickelodeon Studios Opening Day special! Nick Arcade, I've seen clips of it but being video game based I was never into the idea of it.

SPEAKING OF NICKELODEON! Im still on the hunt for this set of creepy signets they aires back then, made by kids around the world. The one that still stands out to me, to this damn day, involved kids camping and telling this ghost story about a haunted tree. All the scary parts were done in claymation, I believe, and it ended with said scary tree coming to life and scaring them. The live actions kids became claymation as they were spooked and scared near death, and all ran away while the tree laughed evilly. After the entire short they did the behind the scenes of the special showing how the kids made it and all. There were otherts, but thats the one I remember the most. Gave me nightmares about going outside the house for months. Wish I could find it tho v.v

I remember an animated kids show called VIKKI but nobody else seems to: The opening of the show was of all of the characters dancing on colorful circles and the theme song repeating "VIKKI". Vikki was a girl with orange short hair and a friend who was a "nerdy" girl (brown hair with braids, braces, and glasses) the whole thing took place in their school. I remember one episode where Vikkis friend, let's just call her nerdy girl, had an enemy named big red who was part of a soccer team. She wanted to get revenge by distracting big red by wearing an octopus suit that had slime dripping off of it. Big red slipped and hurt herself because of the slime and nerdy girl felt bad after and at the end I think she apologized. Another episode is when vikki and nerdy girl and some other guy had a substitute teacher who was a zombie. They spied on him and saw him eating spaghetti with blood and brains. It was revealed at the end of the episode that the substitute was actually sick, which is why he looked and acted like a zombie but I don't remember if the spaghetti was proven to not be brains and blood. I remember watching this in kindergarten and it was on a CD (around 2011-2012) I think the CD had about 5 or 4 episodes on it it could've had more but im not sure. I've tried searching it up but there's nothing. It might have also been a Canadian show, I don't know. I will literally lose my mind if I don't find it it's been bothering me for 2 years

You wanna know something I find interesting? A Kitty Bobo Show is pretty much just an earlier attempt at a show like The Amazing World of Gumball, and the similarities are pretty striking. Both are described as “artsy and abstract” both have a main male cat protagonist wanting to prove his popularity and worth to the world, both have a caring best friend that often helps the protagonist to achieve his goals, both protagonists have a kind and down to Earth girlfriend, both at one point had the characters changed to 12 years old, (The quick revised version of the second pitch presented to Disney in 2005 changed Kitty Bobo to 12 years old) the very first early concept of Gumball from 2007 (Before the pilot, the one where he has yellow eyes, black fur, and a beanie) *also* heavily reminds me of Kitty Bobo’s caricature style, and they even took the whole adoption idea but reversed it. (Gumball’s parents adopted Darwin, *duh)* Not to mention that both the Kitty Bobo pilot and first Gumball episode coincidentally happened almost exactly 10 years apart. There’s probably a lot more than that, but you get the picture. It’s actually pretty crazy to see that such an iconic and world renowned show on the level of SpongeBob might have taken a *lot* of callbacks to a pitch that just barely lost in a contest that was by then already considered to be obscure, so in a way, it now lives on, and despite all odds with Catroon Network trying to ignore it in favor for more inferior shows after 2009 (In my opinion) like Adventure Time and Teen Titans GO!, (Yeah I disliked Adventure Time, not a popular opinion I bet) it has still persisted to reach all the way to the top, with more still to come for many years like a movie and sequel series/more seasons, possibly eventually even at the intended young teen or early adult age, bringing it all full circle. On top of that, without a show like Gumball, we wouldn’t have more experimental shows going to Cartoon Network’a roots either with stuff like Mao Mao and Infinity Train, the latter of which is basically just Adventure Time done way better. (Again, just an opinion, there’s nothing wrong with thinking differently) I have now gained even *more* mad respects for them than I already have. R.I.P. Kitty Bobo, your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

@@alldunnstudio Omg I did *not* expect to see you here, hahaha. You’re welcome! ^^ I’m so sorry that your pitches for it never came to be despite being considered. I really want someone to give it another chance. It’s also pretty crazy to think that cartoon history could’ve been a lot more different if KND didn’t win in general. (Although unlike A Kitty Bobo Show, I think KND in particular probably would’ve gotten a second accepted pitch and get made anyways since it’s something the network would’ve most likely wanted at the time regardless) Or even if the original pilot never existed.

There's some lost media i've been looking for almost forever and i rarely see anyone bring it up. Back in 2004/5 on latinoamerican Nickelodeon they used to air shorts between commercials and one stuck out to me for a while. It was called "El niño del alcantarillado" ("Sewer Boy") about this blue shirt brunette boy with curly hair going inside his toilet and through sewers really fast while being some sort of superhero?, i vaguely remember it having a grungy artstyle similar to Rocko. Sadly i haven't been able to find anything about it. Next to it they also aired a short about a kid explaining his school's lifestyle in a safari type of way. If anyone else remembers it please let me know.

I know it's been over a year but i finally found it, it was a show called Hobart, part of the "Oh Yeah" cartoons. I got a lot of details wrong, but the show is indeed abouy a guy going inside his toilet on adventures, only 2 episodes were made. As for the artstyle, i think i got it mixed up with some other creepy grossout shows that aired alongside it. (with an odd amounth of toilet fixation, that's Nick for ya.)

I’ve had my own lost commercial from the 2000s that has yet to be solved. No one I know remembers it tbf this must have been 20 years ago. It’s an office max commercial where some family is shopping for school supplies since it was around the back to school season. All of a sudden people dressed as school and office supplies start singing and dancing a la can-can. To this day I remember the whole thing “back to school back to school office max is back to school. We got all the stuff you need, we got pens we got paper we got everything you seek so come on down today because office max is back to school”. 20 years later countless inquiries on the internet and nothing I just hope someone else in here remembers this commercial.

I’m a huge walking dead fan and I’ve been recently rewatching the show on Netflix, long story short I’m back to season 7 Episode 1 (where, spoiler, Negan kills Glenn and Abraham). I remember back when the episode first debuted a clip of Maggie’s alternate death was leaked online. The creators of the show have stated that every character kneeling in front of Negan had a death filmed, but only Maggie’s managed to slip out into the public. Kirkman and other producers/execs definitely still have the alternate deaths, but to the public I’d say label it as lost media. I, and many others, would love to have this uncovered!

Jesus. The Amazing Animals segment awakened a part of my brain and my childhood that I didn't even know existed. I saw several of those videos when I was in second or third grade, and I craved other educational wildlife shows like Zaboomafoo, so they were right up my alley. I think I've seen the article for them on the Lost Media Wiki and didn't recognize them, but after seeing the intro and the clip of the lizard crawling into the house and reacting to the tarantula, I had a sudden "Eureka!" moment. Those videos were such an obscure little tidbit from my elementary school days, but I'm glad to see them finally found!

There’s a nickelodeon bumper that I always remember but completely forgot the context to. I don’t remember it as a skit but definitely seems like something that would play in the Amanda Show. It was like a “school hacks” thing before they became big on youtube (probably even pre-youtube). The premise/hack/guide is that *to avoid embarrassing moments with farts, get a dryer sheet and stick it in between your underwear and pants*. It had some cheesy animation of a person doing that. It ended with the narrator saying “fart and smell the flowers”. Any time I use dryer sheets I remember that bumper pretty vividly as much as I remember the real early morning nick news thing with the blonde woman and serious topics.

I just wanna say that since I was born I basically couldn't see anything related to horror. It would spike my heart and sweat like if I was in an oven. When I turned 18, i found out I have anxiety disorder. It's been almost 4 years of treatment and the doctor recommended some slightly creepy content to see if I can handle it. Soon after that, I found your channel. Since then I've fallen in love with your content. Thank you for your amazing content

Interesting, we're in quite opposite situations. As a kid i watched a lot of horror stuff with my mom, even if it meant nightmares non-stop (got insomnia lol), and now cause of my mental health i got recommended to not watch anymore. Still secretly do cause it brings me odd comfort :(

The lost media I want to find above all else is the entire series of Eureeka's Castle. It was one of my favorite shows when I was little, even more than Sesame Street. Currently 26 episodes are available on Paramount+ and a handful more were released on VHS, but the rest of the series is lost. It never got a full home release, and even a torrent search doesn't turn up anything.

I remember stumbling across a "Secret level" in Tony Hawk's Underground. I remember being in the first couple of hours of gameplay (most likely the first map Jersey) and for the life of me can't remember how I ended up in there but I remember a loading screen for it (can't remember what it said but it was unique from all the other maps) and it was kind of like a hellscape kind of level with lava and spikes and booby traps. I also remember seeing a couple of other NPC's. I remember having to reset my Gamecube because I was like 9 and didn't know what to make of it. I'm not tech savvy enough to look through all the files on the Gamecube ISO to see if there's something there but maybe there's something there? I understand this reads like a bad creepy pasta but I've never been able to find something on the internet confirming that it was a thing. Maybe someone could look into it?

For me, my highlight for lost media this year was the short lived Epcot attraction Astuter Computer Revue As of 2019, only one video of the attraction was known to exist, and it was missing the first 90-120 seconds. This year, a second video was found, covering almost 30 seconds of that missing part. One step closer to the attraction being found in full

I remember watching a horror movie with my parents a long time ago. The plot of the movie went something like this: 5 or 6 masked serial killers go into a small town, they kill everyone in town in brutal ways, in the end they kill the sherif of the town by tying her up in the police station and burning it down with her in it and they then kidnap a blind girl and drive away in an old truck with her screaming and crying. I’m still trying to find the movie to this day

I'm still trying to look for this one Gameboy Color game I had when I was young. You were a person in a yellow digging truck and you moved through maze-like areas moving stuff like dirt, stones, and logs to get to the end. I don't remember anything else but the game play. No title screen I remember, no level selections, I don't recall it. Idk it could have been me being imaginative but then again, I believe it's real
