Your place reminds me of my Granny's home in the hills of Tennessee. I always felt a pull toward the creek where water motion cast a spell. Usually quite shallow with a limestone bottom. I would just peer down at the motion and the tiny fish flowing down, I was entranced. I would head down to the creek and my younger cousin would always trail along. The problem was he would always fall in. If it was cold I would bring him back to the house and Granny would have warm cloths from the dryer ready for him. Thus we avoided getting in trouble with his mom, my aunt. Great memories.
