That intro 😂 good job Stella. As always, very clear, concise content with great camera angles! I do just like you, full the US with water and use a jar. I use an water base degreaser because it doesn’t smell. Thanks for sharing your setup :)

Thanks so much! 😊 I don't think the Pine-Sol is that bad smelling, but I learned the hard way not to use any ammonia based fluids- turns carb bodies black. Cheers!

I haven’t tried Pine Sol yet! Today I did a carb using Palmolive dish soap and it worked as well as Dawn and other things I’ve tried. Here’s a tip for filtering your cleaning solution faster then coffee filters, which seem to take forever. Years ago I bought a box of disposable dust masks and one day while filtering after a carb sonic bath I happened across one in my shop. Decided to give it a try and it’s just as good as coffee filters and much faster. I also discovered if I let them sit and dry out I can turn them inside out and knock or brush the debris out and reuse them.

Great idea on the dust mask! Cheers!

What an excellent idea / tip to use the jars of cleaner for the parts instead of the ultrasonic itself! Its always a chore to clean out the ultrasonic especially if there's oil residue on the sides. I'll be using this idea going forward - Thanks for uploading 👍

For anyone needing to drain and refill the US - install an NPT/hose barb into the drain port and a length of hose long enough to reach the floor with a hose clamp. That way you can use a bucket to catch the dirty water instead of having to carry and tip over the US itself. I got a 15L one so I did that before I ever used it just in case.
@TheLawnmowerLady2 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. This small unit does not have a drain port like the larger ones do. Thanks for watching. Cheers!

I was cleaning up a lawn mower carb and dropped in the spark plug too, straight Dollar store orange degreaser and set at 60c , was amazed as the plug cleaned up like new, white porcelain and the carbon was gone, filtering the solution through a coffee filter is a good idea, thanks

👍Great video Stella🎬 ... great tips 'Walter'. Now... ...My two cents...Store fluids in plastic jars... less likely to break... But transfer from plastic jars to glass jars for use in the US Cleaner.. Glass allows the soundwaves🔊 to pass through to the cleaning medium with much less effort than plastic. Small parts ..jets etc. ... easily lost in the crud 💩at the bottom of the cleaning medium... can be placed in a mesh tea ball. Then place the parts laden mesh tea ball into the glass jar before starting the cleaning process. The tea ball saves searching👁️👁️ for the elusive missing tiny part. Makes blow drying 💨with air much easier as well. 🙈🙉🙊
@TheLawnmowerLady2 жыл бұрын
You are correct about using glass, I usually run them a second go round if they are stubborn. Tea-ball - great idea! Cheers!
