The hybrid crew and I had the pleasure of training in the legendary Westside Barbell and got to pick Louie Simmons brain. Will I get in a suit one day?

I think your bench and squat will go up right away, your sticking point on the dead, since it's on the floor, it's hard to tell, it certainly helps by 5-10 lbs at minimum just from pressure. I want to see you in like 3 months.. You are going to crush records.
@Thebuttsinferno
@Thebuttsinferno 5 жыл бұрын
Your raw numbers would take a hit. But I’d say that’s contingent on if you were really trying to master the suit or not. Before mastering there isn’t much carry over. But after it I’d say over 100lbs in a squat suit and 50+ in a dL suit.

In my personal experience I got deadlift suit 50lb carryover. In squat suit 150 lbs with knee wraps .bench shirt 130 lb all single ply my best lifts: Squat raw 380 suit 530 Bench raw 315 shirt 445 Deadlift 450 raw suit 510

Yea, lou gave me some great help a couple years ago. I'm in north carolina and I emailed him just randomly describing my bench issues and shoulder pain. He gave me one exercise to do. Best advice ever. Standing overhead press, not seated, has to be standing. And my bench stays consistently increasing and rep numbers stay high also. Didn't take but a few weeks for the noticable differences to be obvious. And he figured out I didn't do that one exercise just from my list of issues. He is a smart old bastard.

14:00 might be the ultimate compliment from Louie Simmons? He realizes Stefi is a special athlete and is humble enough to ask about her secrets.

Curious - I understand the purpose of the "walking" in the belt squat machine (starting at about 2:59), but not sure about the chest harness bar thing. Is that solely for upper back, or does that add to the hip work as well?
