Louisville police release video of golfer Scottie Scheffler's arrest

The Louisville Police Department has released two videos showing the arrest of pro golfer Scottie Scheffler's arrest after he tried to drive around the scene of a fatal accident.

I'm always suspicious when I heard the police didn't have their body cams on.

At this point yeah, they have had almost a decade to get them and get used to policies regarding them even in small rural towns. Its an excuse at this point in time.

It's an excuse and yes can cause suspicion simply for lack of footage. However it challenges the integrity of the many law enforcement agents that have justly operated for centuries. Just because we don't see it on video we have to think they are lying? That's something wrong with that reasoning. We have to think critically. If there was no dragging and the officer didn't go to the ground then how did his pants get torn and how did he sustain the reported injuries? Nothing strenuous enough to cause those injuries and uniform damage is shown in this video. So it must have happened before. I'm also curious to know how much of a pay-off Scheffler is giving to the police department to "settle amicably." And yes I was rooting for Scheffler during both his Masters wins. And will continue to enjoy watching his golfing skill. Nonetheless it would be nice to know all the details instead of seeing another influential celebrity bypass legal scrutiny. If he's fully guilty then great, let him suffer whatever mitigated consequences he should receive and let's move on. Instead of a "let's just make this go away with influence and wealth."

Im guessing they will say it happened before the car came into frame. But what is shown is exactly what Scheffler reported. It looks bad on LMPD..the cop visibly punched the car door.

No video evidence of the officer being dragged. If he was in fact dragged there should be other officers that witnessed it (the dragging) even if it wasnt on video. Let's see if they come forward on June 3rd. From what I have seen on the video it appears the arresting officer has embellished his report. Very embarassing for the Louisville PD.

The body cam was "off". I'm thinking that if the arrested was not white and not a celebrity, the body cam would have been on.

The cop was a power tripping a-hole and he didn’t get “dragged” The video shows him as the aggressor. There’s no decent law enforcement stepping up to back this maniac up and they shouldn’t. The fact that he hasn’t been fired yet speaks volumes about the Louisville City Police Department and Mayor. If they had any sense at all they would have immediately dropped these BS charges.
