Definitely the worst in the LIB franchise although LIB Argentina is coming next month and I'm not optimistic based on the trailer. This Mexican cast wasn't appealing. They hinted at backstories that might have given certain characters more depth but then never went beyond skin deep. And when one healthy looking tall woman, who looked like she might have weighed 140 lbs max described herself as a "plus size curvy model," I almost did a spit take. That's when I knew this show was going to succumb to the typical stereotypes of what is considered feminine in Latin American media. None of the men were truly good looking or had any real charm. The men were all average looking, in my opinion. Then there was one woman who had a very bizarre and negative reaction to the guy who proposed to her, and then the next episode they're together and lovey dovey with no real explanation as to what led to the woman's complete about face. Her sudden love and interest in this guy felt completely fake and like they just wanted to keep her on the show to create drama. Love is Blind Brazil has done an excellent job casting good looking people of different ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds and even people with physical disabilities, so it can be done, even in a country that suffers from classism and colorism problems.
@bernardsoul51865 ай бұрын
I mean, she had curves. She never said "plus-sized model." It was literally a title given to her by her agency. Also, you talking about typical stereotypes of what is considered feminine and then saying none of the guys were good-looking (which at least three of them are) is very hypocritical and shallow, don't you think?
