Yet he tells her family that he wasn’t in a financial place to travel but now he’s ready to “just go” as if he’s in the position to fly anywhere and everywhere. Yeah bro, you know you can’t afford coach, let alone first class. When he told Stacey it turned him on to see her berating Johnie like a 14 yo girl, I literally cringed. Absolutely disgusting. It's so wild to me that Uche spun this whole narrative that Lydia was obsessed with him and came on the show specifically to stalk him when EVERYTHING we have actually seen is him being weirdly obsessed with what's happening with her. It gives big 'inflated ego' energy. Lydia came on here, found her a boo and moved along.... while Uche was going on and on constantly about what the two of them had. The only time Lydia ever spoke of him was because she was becoming close to Aaliyah and seemingly feeling bad that she couldn't warn her friend of what she knew about Uche, especially after the thing where he was so judgemental about Aaliyah cheating before when Lydia knew he had done the same. That's where I think it got weird for Lydia because she wanted so bad to warn her friend but couldn't because pretending she didn't know him had already gone too far. I can see how it would be tricky when the new friend your getting close to has a guy whose making her feel like shxt about cheating in the past and you KNOW that guy has done the same - but you can't say anything? Uche was clearly operating in pure delusion and ego while Lydia was legit just trying to find love, and found it. Men like Uche can't accept when their ego is shattered like that - he NEEDED her to be stuck on him and his ego couldn't accept that she wasn't. I just hate that Aaliyah was caught in the middle of it all, she deserved better.

That woman doesn’t need to be married, she needs a dog and a therapist. So she proceeds to go to Milton as a backup option. And then Proceeds to word vomit about sex she had w/ Uche to his only connection. Why would Aliyah want to hear that!?! The types of nice things he owns like his home, car and dog from his ex-gf on the show. Lydia was literally bragging about him😂 Now tell me that doesn’t scream red flags, bc literally she turns around and starts singing a different tune when Uche tells everyone about the real stalker Lydia is. I disagree. Milton is 24 and tried to express his feelings to her which he isn't very used to doing. He was right about Lydia giving Uche too much power and time. He said that they had a signal between the both of them that they show each other when the other is uncomfortable and wants to leave (a specific emoji) which is what he did when he showed Lydia his phone while saying "I'll give you ten minutes because we actually have somewhere to go later". She disregarded that to continue to let Uche talk down on her and argue curse and scream. He didn't demean her he pointed out a behavior that he was uncomfortable with. I do think Milton thinking Lydia should react the way he does is unfair. Lydia is her own person with her own feelings. But expecting her to not put him in embarrassing, uncomfortable, annoying or volatile situations is a reasonable request.

I feel like you're cutting Izzy a bit too much slack. He went to go badger Johnnie for something that had nothing to do with him, question her character and then went to her partner at the time to badmouth her by trying to bring up old things she and Chris had presumably worked through already to try to break them up. That isn't "I'm looking out for my friend", that's "I want to hurt this person by ruining a good thing for them" --- and you don't do that shit to people you don't care about or think are inconsequential I also think that Stacy had reason to be upset. We don't really get to see their day to day (weirdly i feel like there was less of that this season even though there were way less couples) but if all he was doing was bringing flowers once a week to the house when he said he'd be doing more in the pods, that's a reason. Clearly her love language is gift giving and acts of service, him not doing much of anything makes her feel unappreciated. Expressing that doesn't put her in the wrong. And considering that she was elated about a coupon that puts the onus on *her* to ask for her love language and a plunger, her bar was pretty low --- so i can only imagine what little he was doing before 😂

I think he tried way too hard to impress Stacey and it made him look fake to the core. Johnie didn’t deserve him berating her, but he was clearly jealous of her being with Chris and he was punishing her for it. Then saying Stacey also berating Johnie for something totally minor “turning him on”- to me he was afraid Stacey could tell that he had feelings for Johnie and he was overcompensating by going up to her and laying on the lovey dovey crap SO thick that she was even like “what’s wrong with you”. Yeah, Izzy is getting a big pass here. His “romantic gesture” was getting her a PLUNGER to remind her that she clogged a toilet while they were in Mexico. Reminding someone of a humiliating moment is not romantic. My husband and I gently roast each other all the time, but we’ve also been married for ten years. Izzy does not care about his “friend” Chris; he does not want the woman he rejected to move on. Even if it were somehow genuine, I’m sorry, he does not know enough about Johnnie to know whether she would be a good partner to Chris or not. She’s messed up, but THEY ALL ARE, with the exception of maybe Taylor and Aaliyah. She’s not a scam artist or a serial cheater ffs. And he made Stacey a BUNCH of promises about who he would be as a partner that he clearly had no intention of fulfilling. Nobody made him say “sky’s the limit” when asked about his finances. HE did that. Lying about your finances to a partner is a big deal; money breaks people up all the time. And wanting to be loved “no matter what” just makes me want to ask “Why? What did you do?”

12:00 Nope. This isn't what is happening. Stacy is incredibly good at reading people. Shockingly good. Don't get me wrong, she's mean and stuck up, but what seems like her blowing up for nothing is actually her picking up on things that you didn't. For example, the place Izzy showed her is an Airbnb. Dude is homeless. That also means that his lost and found is one of two things. Either he went out and bought pieces of jewelry and stuff and made a point to show her in order to fake his prowess and make her insecure or he takes these left behind items from place to place as he couch surfs like trophies. She attacked Johnnie for seemingly no reason because she was able to read Izzy's behavior and realized that Izzy still has feelings for Johnnie and so she was jealous of her. Stacy thought she "stole" Izzy from Johnnie only to find out she got an inconsistent hobo with no plates and a sex trophy collection. So imagine having the bum you stole hung up on the girl you stole him from and she shows up all glowing and happy with a better looking guy who probably has a job, a place to live and plates. The last thing was when Izzy told her he was turned on by the way she tore into Stacy. She knew that behavior was motivated by shame and humiliation. She doesn't want to be with someone who would not only encourage her to behave like she's on Jerry Springer, but be turned on by it. Izzy likes when women fight over him and Stacy picked that up by what he was saying and how he was acting. She wasn't overreacting, she was reading the parade of red flags coming off this man.
@evb154 Жыл бұрын
"Izzy likes when women fight over him" YES he likes the attention. I agree with your takes and I also think this is why he kept wanting to have convos with Lydia and Johnie, despite the fact both women were already cool with how things ended up. I think he saw Johnie and Chris were happy, that she wasn't still hung up on him, and it bothered him majorly. He enjoyed 'railing' into her a little too much, and telling Stacy it turned him on? I'm really surprised people don't see all the red flags that guy kept giving. I am not a fan of Stacy, but it is obvious she had a bit of an insecurity about Johnie who he later went on to call 'just a pod chick'. I'm glad Stacy pointed out that's how they met, too. She wanted to be appreciated for who she was, not for the comparisons with Johnie. But Izzy only really seemed to come alive when he was being nasty to a woman he did not pick, even after expressly telling her he wanted her to show him that he was her number one.

Rare occasion where I disagree with most of your takes. Izzy was not 'caring for' Chris. Stacey's intuition was right, he was doing it out of unresolved feelings for Johnnie (which was her concern, not that he wanted Chris?!) and he proved that by going after Johnnie when they broke up. The sex trophy thing was gross. Paper plates was bum behaviour too. He also promised things in the pods and never delivered. That's what the argument was about. Very strange that you'd use 'emotionally manipulative' to describe Stacey when Izzy is the one who lied to her to secure an engagement. She was simply forthright. And my comment is coming from someone who doesn't even like Stacey. Kennie sis please hone your discernment. That man is a liar and a scammer. The red flags were red flagging.

So, what I'm hearing is that this is the season that 100% proved that the "experiment" of Love is Blind is a complete failure. Or, if we're being REALLY charitable, their "methodology" is fundamentally flawed. Because having only one couple still together at the reunion when you started with 28 single people is... that's a 7% SHORT-TERM success rate. 💀

but i am surpirsed at how i disagreed with kennie with some of the stuff bc damn the Izzy sympathy and applauding him for crying was wild lmao. He was gaslighting Stacy everytime they talked about something when she had an issue, even the tears i don't trust. Like stacy is a bitchy rich girl with daddy's money but she was valid in all the arguments she had with him. He def seemed like he wanted to be her house husband without actually doing anything for her, just live off her money. idk he was giving me the ICK the entire time he was on camera, and not to mention he seemed drunk in so many eps

I think Stacey would be down to have a househusband but he'd actually have to do stuff. Stacey's argument about him not cooking even though he promised is valid. Like you said all her arguments were very valid. The paper plate argument might have seemed unimportant to others but to her that was the omen that the relationship wouldn't ever work.

I find this very desperate, opportunistic streak in Izzy- he is SO disingenuous and he tries WAY too hard with Stacey and he’s hinted at the fact that he’s excited to join Stacey’s rich family- saying her house is going to be his house too, but in a way that sounded like he expected to not kick into the mortgage at all, just freeload off of Stacey. Then she says something about a bigger sectional couch and he said “I’m down!!”, obviously thinking he’s down to use it, not for putting money in towards it. I think he was bummed to miss out on the family’s cash flow and about half as bummed to lose Stacey.

The fact that you applauded Izzy for crying and not getting violent is wild?! Not just because of the obvious point but also because crying was totally disproportionate to the conversation. In that instance, she brought a grievance to him and he ended up spinning it so she was the one comforting him in the end. He also threatened to leave ("I'm done") all because she expressed dissatisfaction one time, based on his broken promises. I don't know what kind of relationship dynamics you're used to but that was extremely concerning behaviour. Maybe it's a halo effect kind of deal but your comments about misogynistic, manipulative brokie Izzy have really shocked me.

From what I saw behind the scene from Stacie and Izzy's fight, it seems she was trying to be super open about both of their finances because that's what you do when you're about to get married and he wouldn't disclose anything about his credit, savings etc. Like apparently he has super shitty credit but would not explain how or why.

12:33 Stacy wasn't trying to imply Izzy liked Chris romantically, when she said "well he (Chris) doesnt like you" in response to Izzy saying he cares about Chris and Johnnies relationship which is why he was involving himself, Stacy was trying to say Chris doesn't really seem to like you as a friend so why are you involving yourself in his relationship. I don’t like Stacy, but I do think Stacy was valid with her wants. As a overthinker it makes sense to me to be worried when Izzy doesn't do the things he promises. It's not even a week into the relationship!! I know they’re supposed to be older, looking for love, and real connections so they shouldn’t be trying to impress each other too much. But if you’re already not doing the things you say, then in my mind there's gonna be a long line list of shit that you’re going to say, but won't do! To many women complain about that meanwhile Guys will say “Choose better.” Or “I've always been like this the whole time, so you're just unhappy with me.” Stuff like that, so I think the sooner you express your wants and needs the better. She definitely talked over him a lot!! Lmao And that's not okay and her attitude didn't give off concern. He was too broke for her and she wasn't trying. Plus Izzy is weirdly misogynistic and my opinion wishy washy, like how are you gonna say all these horrible things about Johnnie read her for filth! Just to make out with her…. I know it was year later and maybe I just don't get it but its just something I wouldn't do. On both side lol Johnnie makes me sad, like girl… your mother was right. Sit down for a while pls 😂😂

Stacy was mean but Izzy seemed to have lied about a lot of things or intentionally kept things bc he knew if he married her he’d be set. Even when he tells her dad that now they can travel bc he really thought his reality fame would money roll his new life like previous contestants. He also only wanted the approval of the men on the show/ Chris. He never cared about a woman that he supposedly cared about at one point and attacked her on camera bc it made him feel big. Him drunk in every scene was also super concerning. He was always slurring. Stacy might’ve been terrible but Izzy is a flawed person as well.

there’s a type of therapy called dbt (dialectical behavioral therapy) which was originally made to help people with bpd but can also help really anyone with big emotions that are expressed in somewhat “explosive” ways (for lack of better term). it’s broken up in 4 sections: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. i think milton is, without knowing the terms or how to accurately express it, trying to get her to use these kinds of skills. imo, it comes across as harsh because he doesn’t always validate her emotions (validation is a key part to dbt) and because he’s so rational minded rather than wise/emotional minded. being emotional is like a campfire; it is a HUGE asset and can keep everyone warm and comfortable, but if you don’t know how to control it, it can hurt everyone (including yourself). i think lydia has potential to be a really good communicator and use her big emotions to better her relationships with herself and others. imo her issue is that she seems to think that yelling at people and having arguments (as in unhealthy disagreements) is required when you have big emotions and that to get rid of those traits is to get rid of emotions altogether. i’m not a therapist so take everything i say with a grain of salt, but a lot of my friends who have big emotions have gone though great efforts to learn how to express them appropriately. it’s possible, you just have to acknowledge that you need to do it.
