He’ll blame the Army if he loses her because of the Army commitment, and he’ll blame her if they get divorced later in life and she takes the best years of his life “youth wise”, which would hurt him if he tryed enlisting at an older age. If they were already happily married with kids sure why not, but they are both REALLY young especially her. He’s gotta drop one. In this particular situation I don’t think he can have both.

@16:20 - 22:20 Sounds like the military-officer recruiters are having that "Hahh-vard / Ivy-League" mentality. Not unlike Harvard or other Ivy-League Schools... it appears that military-officer recruiters have no shortage of applicants (especially for the pilot slots). Harvard, Ivy-League Schools Military-Officer / Fighter Pilots... have applicants from ALL OVER THE WORLD lined up at the door trying to get in... and they can literally hand-pick who they want... and tell all the other just-as-qualified applicants to kick rocks. Translation: They don't have to be nice to You.

Hi Jake, I am as wondering if I can have your opinion on my current situation. I enlisted in the Army National Guard in June 2023 as a 88N. I leave for basic training on October 30th. Before enlisting I had a bachelors degree in Political science and a minor in International Relations with a 3.97 gpa. However I didn’t know until after I signed my enlisted contract that I could become an officer with a Bachelors degree. Should I do Army BCT and AIT first and then pursue my masters in Cybersecurity while doing Army ROTC under the simultaneous membership program or should I try to get out of my enlisted contract and apply for Army OCS instead?.

Jake, Did you realize in May they dropped the WADA test in bud/s and started testing for specific PEDS. So far since then 150 students tested were negative. What about all the students that tested positive in the WADA test. They were forced to rerate when I would guess they would have tested negative on the new tests. The students were told they were going to test, so why would they take peds? The Navy admitted the false positives in the WADA and that was the reason for the change in testing. Lost all respect for Navy and military. Sons dream was ruined. Crushed the performances and had great peer reviews. Dropped because he was positive, then actually tested negative 4 different times, was put back into pipeline and then tested positive again on wada and dropped again. I don’t ever want to hear about how if you perform and don’t quit you can make it through. If the selection was unbiased the true attrition wouldn’t be any different than any other spec ops selection.
