Jay Shetty Podcast

Күн бұрын

Lori Gottlieb admits to Jay Shetty that she has always been fascinated by people’s stories. This allure first led her to television, but a desire to make an even deeper impact drew her to a career in counseling. There, she focuses on helping people explore their stories and rediscover their self-worth.
Gottlieb, one of the leading therapists in the country, sat down with Shetty to talk about the power of emotions, human connection, and good therapy.

I truly enjoyed this podcast. It addressed a lot that I think about myself all the time and others. I addressed others pain that way and I see how others have addressed me that way too. Numbing from to many emotions is how I feel right now. I'm so overwhelmed. Thank you. Nuggets to grow on and get better. Shame is guilt and privacy is a boundary

Such an on-point episode, especially as young adults are shifting into more meaningful connections with friends & partners! I’m such a hopeful romantic. This episode enhanced my thinking on what it requires to adapt in terms of feedback responses during sensitive times. Thank you both! Much love.

Also love the lessons on each video posted by Jay , I thank you for everything you are doing and think you should never stop, We are all struggling into our stories , some are more sad than others, nonetheless its not a competition, What i think is : Jay- you inspire me and believe everyone who listens to you agrees.

🙏🏼 thank you so much.. I’m single and I hate it..I hate being alone. I’ve lost friendships and my partner on NYD.. I feel so defeated and rejected. Friends just go there own way coz they are with their partners. I’m gay and most friends are straight, I’m trying to meet all folks. But if a silent rule in gay friendships.. they will brake a good love up..if it looks healthy. I’m 47 female.. and all the women I’m looking for are really older than what I am at same age.. so now I’m looking for younger but mature.. Most of all I can’t even get out of my house.. it’s all on line. I’m so isolated lonely afraid, I’ve been out of work for a long time due to PTSD. Now I’d rather say I’m Niree and that was then this now.. I have ups and downs like others do. I’m just a lot more open and it’s more visible. Meeting new people like minded is challenging, I can’t find where to start or anything.. I’ve not ever been in this situation ever in life. Partner ghosted me and that’s left me so open and unable for closure.. she took that power to really hurt me. Knowing it was a pet hate to not know or not understand something. I like to understand best as possible. Anyway I’m in Adelaide Australia.. if your able to give some advice. I’m watching more on Jay as of today. Please Im so alone. I’m here coz there’s no one else.. how many tears can come from eyes for how long?? 🕉🌻🕊🙏🏼

Huge disagree. For someone like me who has never been angry, anger is the key feeling to motivate change, draw and maintain boundaries, and self-differentiate. There is a difference between rage (violent anger) and resentment (stuck anger). Those are also legitimate. Let's allow ourselves to feel ALL our beautiful feelings!

God is the best therapist because he's the only one that can help us face our darkest feelings and overcome them. Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

The reason many can’t find true love, because of selfishness. For if they were committing sexual immorality as what the Bible said, they will never find true love. Because we must love God first, and come to know Him. For if you don’t come to know God, you will never ever find true love for according to the Bible “ seek God first and His Kingdom and all shall be added unto you.
