Bruce Willis recently retired from acting after being diagrnosed with Aphasia. Wikipedia: Aphasia is an inability to comprehend or formulate language because of damage to specific brain regions.[2] The major causes are stroke and head trauma; prevalence is hard to determine but aphasia due to stroke is estimated to be 0.1-0.4% in the Global North.[3] Aphasia can also be the result of brain tumors, brain infections, or neurodegenerative diseases (such as dementias).

The Fifth Element has been on my top 3 since it came out. it's SO great, I think I've seen it around a 1000 times and it never gets old. We watch it as a family every Christmas as well, because funnily enough, it used to be on TV during Christmas in the past, so now it's just....THE Christmas movie for us. I hope they never remake it, cause the new version could never top this. The casting is just way too perfect.

Super green reaction James! Lot to love about the Fifth Element! The mugger in the beginning is such an odd little moment, but I love it. The thing on his head is a picture taken from the angle of Corbin's security camera so it looks like the hallway is clear. Who knows how long he's been standing there? 🤣🤣🤣 On rewatch, look out for circular elements, usually toward the center of shots, and the use of the number 5 and its multiples.

The guy who played Ruby Rod, the radio DJ, is Chris Tucker. He's probably most famous for the Rush Hour series of films. The first one is Rush Hour (1998), which you should check out since you seemed to enjoy his performance in The Fifth Element. If you want another science fiction film with some cool ideas then you might like The Minority Report (2002) with Tom Cruise.

The first movie that I saw Milla Jojovich in is Kuffs (1992) and stars Christian Slater (Pump Up the Volume (1990) and Broken Arrow (1996)) but to see her in all of her fighting glory check out the Resident Evil series. Now, for Gary Oldman...watch Leon: The Professional (1994)

As an opera singer myself, I can give some great recommendations. DO NOT START WITH WAGNER. Even though the source material is cool, it will kill you if you aren’t ready for it. My recommendation is to start with either a simple fairy tale or a comedy. The Barber of Seville is a great first opera, it’s funny like a Bugs Bunny cartoon without dealing with much of the politics of the time. Mozart’s The Magic Flute is a simple comic fairy tale, but it also pokes fun at serious themes in more serious operas. It’s also a great introduction to opera. Don Giovanni is also a good option (also by Mozart) if you want something that’s somewhere between a romantic comedy and a serious story, and the music is also glorious (it’s Mozart after all). Any Mozart opera is a decent starting point for opera, if I’m being honest, The Marriage of Figaro runs a little long, but it’s funny and heartwarming too.

Milla Jovovich has a string of movies out in the "Resident Evil" franchise. Chris Tucker is a standup comedian who went on to do comedic roles in film, even if the film itself wasn't specifically comedic. He's best known for his early appearances in black films, but then joined up with Jackie Chan in the "Rush Hour" franchise. Gary Oldman has done a lot of serious work, but is very much a chameleon, managing to look very different in every role he takes on. You would know him best as Sirius Black in the "Harry Potter" franchise, Commissioner Gordon in more recent "Batman" movies, and starred in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" with Wynona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, and Keanu Reeves.

Storytime: I was 14 when this came out. I had originally planned to see this movie with a boy and some mutual friends, like a peer-chaperoned date. I was so excited to see this film and hang out with the popular kids, without grownups! Well, I get to the theater, and I buy my ticket, but I don't see anyone I'm supposed to meet. It's getting close to showtime, so I go get seated and hold a seat for my date just in case they were late. They never showed up. I sat there enjoying every scene and line of this movie. When it was over, I went to the entrance knowing that my mom was coming to pick me up. I saw her car and was just sliding into the seat when I heard my name being called from near the ticket window. I looked to see my date and everyone else I was supposed to meet up with giving me the two handed "where were you?" gesture. I was so humiliated and frustrated that I just gave them a frown and a shrug as I slammed the door and told my mom to floor it. Hot tears started to paint my cheeks as I told her about what happened. It was obviously a small mishap, but to 14 year old hormonal me, it felt like a set up. This movie was the best part of that day and, unlike my date, did not disappoint. Still one of my absolute favorite movies.

I always liked this film's offbeat approach to sci-fi. The aliens are just as interesting to look at as the humans are. I also liked how Willis was a take-no-crap off no one straight man to Chris Tucker's goofy off-the-walls future radio dj. Apparently, he took inspiration from Prince, and you can really see it in the fashion he wears and the voice he uses. Leelu is also a great character and I like that her and Corbin find happiness at the end. Gary Oldman, though, is the hands down best thing about this movie, in my humble opinion.

I wish we had some of these machines! The scene with the opera song was AMAZING. And the references I'm sure you heard during your lifetime and now know where they were taken from: -Big bada boom! -Multi pass. Are truly so good. @@AwesomeUSMovies no worries..glad to help. I’m sure you’ve had this requested a million times but Christopher Nolan’s(director/writer) take on Batman was quite spectacular. It’s a trilogy and the 2nd film has a legendary performance by Heath Ledger. I promise you his character is so convincing..it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen! That movie as a stand-alone film..if you took the Batman elements out is still extraordinary! Don’t miss it✌️

@@AwesomeUSMovies I have watched the majority of your reactions and will continue to do so. I always like as you are genuine, wholesome and entertaining in each. The only ones I may not watch are movies I have never seen. Keep your reactions coming, and just realized I wasn't Sub'd. That has been corrected, James! Happy 4th of July to you and your family. Always remember and appreciate the sacrifices. Thank you for the joy your reactions have brought to me. Edit was for a misspelling that altered the meaning, nothing else. Corrected as originally intended, keep on good Sir.

Yeah, Ruby Rhod was played by comedian Chris Tucker. The role was intended for & inspired by the music artist Prince, but he turned it down because the character was too "weird", lol. But, Chris Tucker has some other good flicks out there like Friday (slice of life flick), Money Talks w/ Charlie Sheen & The Rush Hour Trilogy w/ Jackie Chan (3rd one is meh, but.... *oh, god...have you ever seen a Jackie Chan movie?).* Lastly, the language that Leeloo was speaking was an actual language that Milla Jovovich & "the director...look up his personal background if you want, yeesh" Luc Besson made up to make it seem more realistic. *Oh, check out the Director's Cut of Leon The Professional,* another great flick from the same director of this film. Great Reactions, BTW!

Ukrainian girls are one of the best things this world has to offer. Milla Jovovich is so cute in this, but I fell in love with her when I was a young lad myself and saw her as a 16 year old prancing around naked in Return to the Blue Lagoon. She looks even better in that, just, insanely beautiful. Perfection, as they keep repeating in this film, but she did look much better in RttBL. (that's not a recommendation by the way, pretty bad movie, aside from Milla) She's been in some other good movies (Chaplin (1992) where she was also naked and underage opposite a young Robert Downey Jr in the role that defined his early career, Dazed and Confused (1993) - seminal film but overrated IMHO, and Zoolander (already on your list, I think)... but those were all bit parts and this is almost inarguably her best role. She was the lead in Resident Evil but even if you're a fan of the video games that movie probably isn't worth watching. Willis I know you're familiar with and his other good movies have already been recommended. Gary Oldman has got to be one of my all-time favorite actors for his pure versatility... Just imagine him (the guy playing Zurg in this).. in the role of Ludwig van Beethoven (which he did in Immortal Beloved (1994)), or Dracula (Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)), or Winston Churchill (Darkest Hour (2017))... and he played each of those roles to perfection. What range! He was also Commissioner Gordon in the Christopher Nolan Batman films which I think are already on your list.

I saw this one in 97 and remember thinking it was just this weird movie, then last year, watched it again with my kiddos, and just absolutely loved it for all its weirdness! Funny how viewpoints change over time. The DJ in this movie, Chris Tucker, is probably best known for the Rush Hour movies from 1998 to 2007, fun little action comedies with martial arts star Jackie Chan, and worth adding to your list!

Movies to watch, all fantasy. Willow - 1988 And in case you haven't actually watched them yet: The Hobbit - 2012, 2013, 2014 The Lord of the Rings: 2001, 2002, 2003. Most people watch the Lord of the Rings first since those movies came out first, but I'd like to see someone watch in chronological order in how the story takes place so I'd like to see you watch The Hobbit movies before. Your Patreon's may think otherwise though. But watching in chronological order is also good since the fandom generally agree that The Hobbit trilogy isn't as good so you can start off with decent movies and end with the sequels that are considered among the best movies of all time. Ian Holm who is in the Fifth Element and plays priest Vito Cornelius, is in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies.
