Guitar players always appreciate high-level drummers. Which is part of why WE love princess Haruna so much! And she also happens to be the cutest thing in the whole world. So yeah. GO PRINCESS HARUNA !!!

I just love how Miyako and Midori riff back and forth off of each other there. Easily one of my favorite songs of theirs. That and We The United.
@PaleHorseShabuShabu3 жыл бұрын
Miho is the band's secret weapon. She doesn't get the spotlight all that often, but when she does, she shows just how badass of a bass guitarist she is. The outro to "Glory to the World" is a prime example of her greatness because she's right there with Miyako and Midori and isn't using a pick. Love her.

LOVEBITES - Scream For Me lyrics: Communication breaking up and I can't figure it out Baffled So out of touch with what's to come All because I just can't seem to get through to you We wait Debate Our fate Trying to escape from all the deceptive rules I've had enough So what's the way for us to get it? Before you go shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - Panic fuzed me! I wonder what you see whenever you're here standing in front of me What would it take to make a break From running in circles that only aggravate? Inside we hide but why? Genuine perspective could be the greatest gift we ever share I care enough to talk about it Come on Please don't shoot me down Now's the time to come together Hear me out Cause what I think What I'm thinking about is If we let it take forever we just may lose it all So what I think What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah Let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free, yeah We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more Let go Take a step into a new tomorrow The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge So you gotta let your soul be free - panic fused me! ----- lyrics: Dr U music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

Oddly Lovebites have inspired me to practice more and I try to learn (slowly and badly) some of Miyako's solos, especially from Epilogue and Break the Wall, The trouble is that I'm in my mid seventies I have arthritis in the fingers and thumbs of both hands, can't really play chords but I am OK on melodies and play through the pain and feel the better for it..So much to learn and so little time left,

@@skoob64 i feel your pain - kinda. i'm 68 with no arthritis but never even came close to having the dexterity to make my fingers move that fast anyway. i would think one or two notes ahead where m+m think 10 notes ahead. 2 of the best i've seen
@dregeye3 жыл бұрын
@@skoob64 I'm on the same adventure, just 70 (8/1) and inspired on both drums and guitar. Electronic kit between me and the screen, guitar at my side. Starting with a Miyako solo that will come more naturally (sans tapping), as Midori's style will require considerably more work, but I just got an "ESP" (knockoff) for more inspiration! Best thing for the arthritis is keep it all moving! I'll do a 'play-along' on the acoustic kit in the front room, soon* *unknown future date, like the LIVE LOVEBITES show I will ATTEND!
@skoob643 жыл бұрын
@@dregeye I find tapping really difficult but Miyako's often bluesy, soulful style style with classical references suits me and I'm determined to master a few of her solos. As for Midori, her superfast light finger work is beyond me, I don't even try. Luckily a few years ago I found a genuine early American made Blackie Fender Strat with a maple neck in an auction and it helps having such a beautiful guitar to play on, the action is so smooth.

You two remind me of two children who have an access all areas to Disneyland with no other visitors. Completely spellbound with beaming smiles and so hyped you don't know where to look next and end up rocking back and fourth uncontrollably. Lovebites have that effect! 😃

Wow that sound is sooo thick. I loved how they started with just drum added bass, and dropped guitar and vocals into the mix. Nice build up, lots if energy. A lot if people say they don't like Japanese metal because it's lightweight, but there's nothing light about this. Great song, and you 2 are on a roll with your reactions!
@fredbarnes20493 жыл бұрын
Also speaking if the drummer, her technique is very similar to Pau of the Warning
@cepho83493 жыл бұрын
Lightweight? What is this even supposed to mean? Japanese metal, like metal all around the world, is pretty diverse. A lot of it is power metal, but many other genres of metal are being played in Japan as well. And the musicianship is excellent for the most part.
@fredbarnes20493 жыл бұрын
@@cepho8349 Hey I didn't say it, I see it a lot in comments. Mostly from the death/thrash metal end if the spectrum. I admit some Japanese metal is a bit outside my taste, but I love Lovebites, Nemophila, and Unlucky Morpheus. I even recently found a deathcore band called the Desperado that's pretty good
@cepho83493 жыл бұрын
@@fredbarnes2049 I'm just curious, because I haven't really seen comments like that. As for Japanese metalcore, Crystal Lake, Dexcore and Deviloof are worth checking out.

@@cepho8349 I've heard of Crystal Lake, I'll check the other ones out. I guess I'm just unlucky enough to encounter a lot of trolls and musical bigots. I mean Babymetal isn't really my thing but I'm not going post something along the lines of "go listen to Babymetal and that mainstream Japanese music, you wouldn't understand...blah blah blah" Not me, but sadly usually from American thrash/ death metal types

They are total opposites and yet when they riff it is insane but harmonizing is still the stunning presentation for me. Try We the United or Rising where they harmonize at speeds that are insane while also picking and sweeping together where one tiny slip spells disaster and yet they are flawless and LIVE no less. Honestly this duo is simply one of the best double leads I have, seen, heard or experienced in the the last 50 years. This whole band is totally insane with talent and they each do it with no effort or strain, they look as fresh at the end of a concert as they do when they start and generate so much energy in between that it is insane. Let's no forget Miho/bass the founder and with Haruna/drums are the backbone that drives this Lamborghini of a band. This is Miho's vision of what metal can and should be and yet she gets little shine time because this band is about flawless perfection and that is all that is important to them.

Easily one of my top 5 songs I love! I am always amazed at the professionalism of these ladies' as shown by Midori, when she was leaning against Asami and Asami moved away and Midori was hopping backwards on one foot to save herself and still didn't miss a note... and IN HEELS! These ladies were born to be together. I bet they had to wait a couple of minutes after this song to let Haruna's bass pedals cool down cause she has them flying even faster than she normally does. Thank you for reading to this video.
