This is a genuinely helpful video. I’m baffled by that Dodo press book. You are right, The New Annotated H. P. Lovecraft is a treasure. There is a second volume that is pretty great as well. Thanks for this.

There is a second volume of the Klinger annotated Lovecraft called "Beyond Arkham" that is just as great as the first one

Very interesting. I've got the Arkham House editions myself, including 'The Horror in the Museum', which collects the Lovecraft revisions, and 'The Watchers Out of Time and Others', the so-called collaborations with August Derleth. This last includes 'Lurker at the Threshold', which was my introduction the Lovecraft as a Panther paperback back in the early 70s. Just mentioned as you said you were searching for a collection of his revisions, and those two cover everything I think. For the letters, as you probably know Hippocampus Press has released lots, and I rather like they have volumes between Lovecraft and other individual authors. Might pick up the Clark Ashton Smith ones. They also seem the place for his essays, none of which I've ever read apart from the Supernatural Fiction one. And you, very briefly, mention films. Have you checked out the H P Lovecraft Appreciation Society? They did a great adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu, filmed as a 1920s silent film, which was entirely faithful to Lovecraft I'm going to have to invest in that annotated edition of Lovecraft; I've got the Sherlock Holmes one you mentioned, which is gorgeous, but weighs a ton.

Great to see you back with another video - missed them! Buying online can be a bit precarious in that sometimes you can't be certain of what exactly you're getting. I usually try and see if there's a youtube video out there of somebody showing the edition I'm interested in. This is why I was so happy that you showed the PS volumes as I've wanted a view inside them for yonks. Unfortunately it looks like you didn't know that you can buy all 17 volumes from PS2 for £169 (RRP £334)! Is that essays book print on demand? It looks like two disparate files have maybe accidentally been amalgamated into one and then printed. The annotated Lovecraft is wonderful - you should get the other volume too. I have his annotations of Sherlock Holmes and Dracula too - wonderful stuff. Hope you'll be back with another video soon. Cheers...Peter.

Parasites!!!! Is this a print-on-demand book? Such production screw-ups happen with them (another document gets spliced into the one ordered). You should contact the seller or Amazon and inquire. They usually send out a replacement copy.

Yeah, it looks more like a misprint. May be worth checking if the contents list on the Lovecraft section matches what is actually in it. I suspect it's missing lots of pages.
