Elliott O'Donnell is an interesting writer I got one of his Scottish ghost stories collections and some of those stories scared the Willie's out of me as a youngster. But my fav book which my Nan got me was The Ghost Hunters Road Book by John Harries (1969), it's not the thickest book but the way he explains the stories make you to read more - still a fav today.

Some great stuff there. I'm intrigued by 'Haunted Inns' - I've had a bit of an obsession with dead 'uns hanging around old pubs since my dad took me to the Marsden Inn when I was a kid and told me stories that he knew would freak me out. Also: intrigued to know about Kevin Keegan's contact with the Beyond - "I would love it if I encountered unquiet spirits. LOVE IT!"

Nice haul of non fiction books. I actually found a copy of "Haunted Inns" in a charity shop in Chester on a recent trip to the UK. The new Borley Rectory book loos like an interesting read, too.

The cover of Puffin's Ghosts, Spooks and Spectres messed with my head for years. As did that story about the kids who fake the local phantom drummer boy to mess with the cemetery guy, but it all backfires horribly
