Nice to see you are back, I have vision issues and now am 100% an ebook reader. I know it's not quite the same as a paper book, but you can increase the font size as much as you need and I find it much easier to access

Hi Al, I’ve been watching you since the early days of your channel and haven’t ever commented - sorry! But I wanted to now, just to say I’m sorry to hear about these last few months. They must have been incredibly difficult, but I’m glad you’re finding your way out of it all and have a new house buddy in Nimbus - that’s one handsome cat! I struggle with poor mental health myself so I know just how difficult it can be, to talk about it and to get the best help you can. I also know Mark and Dave myself (just through Facebook as I do a bit of writing) and they both seem like the best kind of people. I’m glad you’re back, Al. Stay well.

Miss you, miss your talks, miss your style, miss sense of humour. I am so glad your getting there. I understand 100% what you’ve been going through. I lost Tinks a year ago, in a couple of days and I just want a moment to cuddle her. She will always be my little girl. Thank you for the words and I’m so glad to see you happy even if it just little smiles here and there, you always make me smile and little tears but a moment of reassurance in a way.

I watched your massive, obscene (but brilliant) haul earlier, then came back to this one. Brilliant to see you back. Sorry to hear things have been tough. The physical stuff isn't something I've had experience with, but if you are ever struggling emotionally or mentally, I am always happy just to be a sounding board or anything else you need. It can sometimes be really helpful to speak to someone or just vent to someone who's basically a stranger and completely outside of your situation. Contact me any time and I'll either listen or offer bits of advice, or whatever you need. Love your channel and have gotten so much out of your recommendations. I know loads of people really get a lot out of your videos. Please take care and thank you so much for your honesty, openness and willingness to share. It's wonderful to see you back - missed your videos with your humour and evident love of the subject matter. Ever so sorry to hear about your health issues, and also about the loss of Victor, but I admire your courage in talking about these matters. It's good you've had friends like Dave and Mark to help you though - friends are so important. I have a dear cousin who suffers badly with anxiety and will often call me up when she is having a wobble (as she puts it) - I initially felt useless and not knowing what to say, but she tells me just having someone to chat too (and it can be about anything) helps her a lot. She also recently lost a pet too (an Alsatian) but has acquired a new dog. Nimbus looks beautiful - and very large! I hope things continue to improve for you, and I look forward to more of your brilliant videos (even though they do cost me money 😁). Cheers... Pete

So sorry to hear about the tough times. So hard to let pets go ... it takes courage and compassion. And our stupid generation who try to power through mental health meltdowns. There is absolutely no shame in admitting it's too much and you need help. You are a wonderfully creative, sensitive and empathetic individual so the ups are high and the lows are low. But good to see you back! Charity shop work is a really good thing to be doing.

Great to see you back and sorry to hear of your troubles. Have had a few myself this year but am going in the right direction now. Definitely no shame in talking about these things, I always have, you just need to speak to the right people, not all can do the 'emotions' stuff. Anyway, l've discovered some cracking punk/post-punk from yourself including 999, Yello (such a bizarre but great cover) and Rancid. Looking forward to more vinyl recommends/discussions. I'm so glad you're back! I really missed you and your videos! I know you said in a previous video that you're not a science fiction fan, but were you aware that Angus Wells wrote the novelisation of one of my favourite TV shows - " Star Maidens" under the pseudonym Ian Evans, Ian being his first name and Evans being his mother's maiden name. It is actually a good read albeit hard to get.
