These are good just as is, but since they have became a regular at our household, I turned them into keto scones by adding a tablespoon of alulosa and a half a spoon of apple cider vinegar to create a bigger reaction from the baking powder. Lemon zest, blueberries in and Yay! Having them with kefir yoghurt in the morning they make for a wholesome breakfast. Thank you so much for this recipe!

Just a bit of constructive criticism, so fans, don't come "at" me... I've taken public speaking classes and one thing I've notice during the first 3 min, was how many times you said "basically". It ended up being distracting. So I went back... yes, I went back and did a tally. You said "basically 23 time during the duration of your video. Now I'm sure I'm going to get backlash "oh what you have no life" or something along those lines. Well to them I say "don't better yourself then". Your filming style and smooth music is wonderful. You are articulate and this tid bit is only meant to help, if you haven't heard this already. I do thank you for the recipie. Be Blessed and always encouraged!

@LoverofAllThingsGood2 жыл бұрын
It is high in fat and low in sugar but it can be substituted with Greek Yogurt
@vivianspringer5142 Жыл бұрын
Sour cream replaces milk or buttermilk used in most biscuit recipes. I believe it helps the structure be moist and not crumble. It helps the flavor too. I know my Husband doesn't like sour cream. But, he'll eat my biscuits not knowing it's in there. To substitute, use your milk of choice. May need to add a slight bit more Almond Flour if too wet. Some recipes call for a little grated cheese... many recipe choices to try. 😋

Your biscuits look like Red Lobsters Cheddar Bay biscuits without the cheddar. Also, your recipe calls for the opposite compared to the “Norm.” Most use cold butter and mix in encouraging the lumps. Most use more than one egg and they use the white only with variations to lightly frothing the white with little foam to super whipped frothing light and fluffy looking like cotton candy or a beautiful white cloud ☁️. You were entertaining watching you prepare your biscuits. 😊

Hey you say in the video 2 tsp of salt but in the description it says 1, so is it 1 or 2?
@LoverofAllThingsGood5 жыл бұрын
Let me first say thx so much for watching! Yes it’s only 1 tspn... I originally made it with 2 because I like it a bit salty but I had feedback from viewers saying that it was too salty so I adjusted in the description ...sorry for any confusion lmk how you like it try it with ink Himalayan salt too 👌🏾😍

I used 2tsp; and yes, it was too salty!! 😖 About to make another batch using 1tsp.

I made the mistake of just following the video. I didn't look at the comments or see the edit. I thought it was a lot of salt... This would have been perfect recipe if I saw the edit about the salt. I hate that I had to waste all those ingredients. I will try this again.

I just made these and they were very delicious, the only mistake I made was taking your advice on salt measurement. Will slow down on salt for my next batch, otherwise thank you for the great recipe.

Also can almond or coconut milk be used?

Yes, coconut milk should work fine! I’ve used almond milk before and it was great! Consider cashew milk as well 😊😍

can i use cream cheese instead of sour cream?
@LoverofAllThingsGood4 жыл бұрын
Yes, Cream cheese can also be used in place of sour cream. Mix 3/4 cup of cream cheese with 3 tablespoons of milk and blend to get a pretty decent sour cream replacement with a similar texture....thanks for watching

Wondering if subbing pumpkin for the sour cream would be good. Just throwing that out there for the holidays. Now I need to try it.
@LoverofAllThingsGood4 жыл бұрын
Sounds interesting but also very tasty ...you may have to be careful due to sugar and carbs inherent in pumpkin.

If you turn the parchment paper the other way it fits better and you don't have it hanging over the backing pan.

Just tried this - was too salty for me. Will try again and leave out salt. Realized there is salt in the sour cream and butter.

Lafreda Sias or use unsalted butter, use less salt too. 1/4 tsp. Also blend dry ingredients first before adding wet in ingredients. Another trick is to us frozen butter, grate the amount you need. Mix into the dry ingredients to create a mealy mixture, then add wet ingredients.
