This looks great. I cook a lot of chicken in the instant pot, but hadn't sorted out how to barbecue it--so glad for this recipe, thanks! Just in case anyone wants to know why you should wait 15 minutes after the pressure turns off ("slow release" for 15 minutes), it's because quick release when pressure-cooking meats tends to draw the moisture out of the meat. I know it's hard to wait, but well worth it. Also, one should use a slow release for rice--it helps keep rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

I made these today as chicken thighs and they were outstanding!! The rub is flavorful all by itself and the barbecue sauce adds the finishing touch!

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate seeing some low carb recipes on your channel since I eat low carb myself. I also just bought my first pressure cooker so this will be my very first recipe I cook in it!

We got married at Town Hall so didn't have a reception, but if we had we certainly would have had the Chicken Dance! Part of my family is Canadian and it's a big thing for them and just plain funny! They call it Dance des Canards which translates is Duck Dance but hey, same thing-ish! Lol

Of course we had the chicken dance at our wedding!! We had a polka band!! That's just what you did in 1974 up north in Wisconsin!!

I tried this recipe today, definitely kicked A$$!! However I didn’t have the chicken dance played at my 🎩... Sadly I lost my husband 2 years ago and this made me think back and remember the good time we had that special day. I have subscribed, and would love to get some more recipes, I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, we definitely have different ways of mixing things together, but all that’s more reasons to keep watching you both!! Keep up the good work!!! -❤️💯🙏-Amy

Really want to try this. However, my folks will only eat breats. That being said...should the breasts be cooked for less time to prevent being dry? Thanks.

May I suggest that you try Stevia brown sugar substitute. Stevia is all natural and has no chemicals like saccharine does. it is so much healthier for you and it tastes amazing!! I use it to replace all of my brown sugar. Try it you might like it better!
@MikeyGoode7 жыл бұрын
Margaret Mitchell thanks for the recommendation! Just a clarification, we aren't using saccharine, we are using a product called sukrin which is made with erythritol.

I didn't know this was going to turn into a low carb channel... I miss the old format, still a big fan but I wasn't watching this cooking show to find out how to eat healthy. Its great you guys are trying to be healthier and I wish you all the best.
@MikeyGoode7 жыл бұрын
Hey there! So sorry you didn't enjoy our video. To clarify, we have no intention of turning our channel into a low carb channel. We are just trying to be transparent in how we are eating at home. This recipe is a perfect example of one that can be made full carb as mentioned with regular brown sugar and your favorite bbq sauce. The steps are still the same. With that said, we totally understand that not everyone will enjoy everything we do. Regardless we hope you find something yummy for you and yours, be it on our channel or another.

Mikey the way you say Paprika is closer to the way a Hungarian would say it. (One of my roommates was Hungarian.)
@knitnpaint7 жыл бұрын
What do you do with all that yummy buttery broth ? I think Mikey is righ on the Paprika pronounciation. At least in Germany it is pronounced that way. It really does not matter so. We all know what you mean.

We LOVE making soup with it or using it in any recipe that calls for broth. It is so flavorful!
