Can you run through the steps of changing the tempering valve from start to finish?

Just replacing the tempering valve is a temporary fix, the tank should also be flushed due to magnesium build up from the sacrificial anode breaking down and also the sacrificial anode should be replaced. That build up in tempering valve is mainly magnesium, hence flushing the tank as it’s only going to block the new tempering valve up.

Nearly 3 years on and there's been no issues. 3 years is more than 'temporary' I would've thought. Flushing the tank can be done and might be extremely thorough, but not necessary..

My gas geyser hot water pressure is very low even though the water tank is in height position, what's the reason for low pressure.

Hello, did you drain some water from the hot water tank to replace the tempering valve? Or you just shut off the water for the hot water tank and replace the valve? Thanks!

Just shut off the water. No need to drain water from the tank.
