Great tip, thanks. I’ve been hitting off the toe lately and hooking like crazy. I know I get disconnected in backswing and get out to in. Took your tip to the backyard with wiffle balls and was able to send the out to the right and straight. Will definitely be using this as a drill! Thanks!

Thanks bro. I will do these drills but I actually come too much from the inside and too steep. But I will do these drills nice and slow. Funny if I do just L to L swing with driver I hit it 240-260 just everything gets out of wack when I try to get a 3/4 swing. Thanks Matt will keep you updated on the swing

Mess around with ball position. You actually have me at a loss on how your "too inside and too steep" unless you have a realllllyyyy late shallowing move in the downswing that kicks the club head out.

@@MattWalterGolf my normal shot is a little draw. I have fast hands. But I think those drills doing them slowly will help alot

I’m a low handicapper who’s most frequent mishit is a fat shot, particularly with less than full wedges or when the ball is above my feet. I know it’s hard to say exactly why without a video of my swing, but I think I might be a shallow rather than steep fat shot hitter. I sweep my fairway iron shots. I’ve considered numerous potential causes of the fat hits but have never been able to pinpoint it. I don’t know if it’s a change in spine angle(possibly due to early extension), hanging back, too early a release, lack of synchronization between the upper and lower body, not enough hip rotation to bring the low point forward, etc. what do you think are the most common causes? I can send a video if that would help.

So ironic, my names Bryan.. I use to hit the driver well, now I got the yips.. very low toe contact. Going less then 100 yards.. if that. Causing way too many drops to the right too. I’m very confused on why this just started happening these past two rounds.

would the same concept app to irons? I noticed today, I was not grooving my irons, and the majority of the strikes were on the toe side of the face.
@MattWalterGolf4 жыл бұрын
Jon Vandewater defintiely could be. Typically the shaft is to vertical or existing left to quick on toe strikes.
