Jimmy speaking for Asians everywhere: “I saw videos of Gordon Ramsay stir-frying and I was APPALLED by this white man using olive oil to stir-fry.” I cannot tell you how many “Asian” recipes I’ve seen (from white people) who use olive oil and I’m like, we DO NOT use olive oil in Asian cookery!

Olive oil doesn't stand high temperature (especially extra virgin kind) which often goes against the golden rule of stir frying-hot and quick. Besides olive oil have a very distinctive odours, which is just weird when pairing with Asian cuisine.

Made this tonight with prawns, bok choy, carrots, garlic, 1 Serrano chili, egg, and I had white pepper... It was really delicious! Although I seeded my pepper, it was a bit on the spicy side, so I will cut that in half next time. I made two portions, and my husband wants this in the regular rotation. It's one of his favorite dishes when we eat out at Thai restaurants. During quarantine I am trying to learn to cook a wider variety of dishes, and have been focusing on Thai, and Japanese foods because I like them the most so far. Thanks for the lovely recipe! 🥰

It'd be fine if it's regular olive oil that doesn't really have a taste, but extra virgin olive oil has a strong flavor and can burn in a hot wok.

Love his cooking. Everything on the fly, no measuring shit. Add whatever you think will go with the dish

Awesome Jimmy......every Asian kitchen should have those ingredients any day of the week. Its like a White family has butter, mayonaise, bbq sauce, and of course olive oil.

My bad, I thought Jimmy only knew about two dishes. 1. Hot dog 2. Not hot dog.

The one time I really hate having an electric range is when I want to cook something in a wok. It just doesn't radiate heat like a gastop does. This looks fire.

I worked at a Thai restaurant, and I remember the chef telling me pad see ew has to be made with wide rice egg noodles. I believe jimmy is making another stir fry dish that seems very similar to what I had in the restaurant! Gd stuff

This dude seriously called out Gordon Ramsey at the beginning of the video. Jimmy's got no chill, even when doing a cooking video, and I fucking love it!
